Introductory;

The House of Aldersberg began as a Barony of Haderine de Sarkozy in the realm of Anthos. The county title of Aldersberg would first be known far before Joseph and the Holy Orenian Empire, existing previously in the realm of Athera as a title held by Olivier de Savoie. He would construct a town north of Petrus alongside others including Sylvester Halcourt who would inherit the crown after him, and Austustus Fornier. The city would flourish with citizens and be later named the capital city of the Duchy of Savoy for some time until its eventual destruction after the Horen Restoration.

The cadet house of Novellen-Aldersberg found its origins with Prince Joseph Leopold Novellen, the sixth issue of Emperor Joseph II and Anne I. In 1787 the Imperial Prince would be granted the title of Count of Aldersberg. Upon his new land, he would construct a retreat from the imperial palace mimicking the style of the Augustine Palace. Joseph, Thereafter he’d marry Henrietta Maria of Osterland and sire five children.

Succeeding Joseph was George Alexander. His reign was mostly unremarkable with his life Juliya of Susa and his children. Mainly Georgiana Maria, his fourth born child, would take up the responsibilities of day-to-day management. She’d host post-court events, which Aldersberg would become known for. Georg would die of an abrupt illness in 1862 to only be succeeded by his firstborn son, Edward Clement. Edward was best known for his work in the Courts, serving as the Lord Chamberlain. During this time he met his wife, Anne of Sunholdt and the pair would be happily married in the Aster Hall.

They would sire three children, two sons, and one daughter. A year before Edward's death the county would be demoted to a barony in 1875 during The Royal Audit. A year after Edward would mysteriously disappear only to be presumed dead. His eldest inherited at the age of 9, reigning for only 12 years before bandits would murder him. Alexander died without an heir which left the title only to be inherited by his younger sister, Austina Prudence. Her first act as Baroness begins with the dropping of Novellen from the family's last name, thinking herself too disconnected from the current line of Novellen to properly hold the name.

As of 1889 there have been 3 Counts of Novellen-Aldersberg, 2 Barons of Novellen-Aldersberg, and 1 Baron of Aldersberg. 1 Born in Helena, 1 in Providence, and 3 in the County of Aldersberg.

1765 A.H - 1849 A.H

(62 yrs)

Parentage: Anne I, Holy Orenian Empress, Joseph II, Holy Orenian Emperor

Children: Princess Charlotte Augusta, Duchess of Adria, Princess Helaine Valencia Novellen, Princess Elisabeth Louise, Duchess of Valwyck, Georgiana Beatrix Novellen, Prince George Alexander, Count of Aldersberg

Prince Joseph Leopold Novellen was born in early 1765 to Empress Anne I and Emperor Joseph II as the sixth and final child of the regal couple. His childhood was filled with extravagant classes and political meetings he was coerced to sit in on.

As the favored child of the Emperor, he would be granted the designation of Count of Aldersberg in late 1787. The same year he would espouse Henrietta Maria Pruvia of Osterland. Lady Henrietta was granted the betrothal due to her architecture of the Augustine Palace and later the County of Aldersberg’s Johannian Hall. Joseph swiftly took up the same vocation as his wife, but in lieu of astronomically immense and intricate houses, he specialized in gardens and fountain design.

From 1792 to 1802, the Princely couple would sire five children, four girls, and a single boy. Joseph doted on his firstborn, Princess Charlotte Augusta. At one point he even considered her as the heir to Aldersberg instead of his youngest and only son, George Alexander.

His life from thereon out was mute contemplation and spent receding into his County’s lands where he’d tended to a flourishing garden until 1849 where he would privately pass during his slumber to only be followed by his adoring wife a year later. Rightfully, the county would be inherited by his son and the line of Novellen-Aldersberg would be perpetuated.

1802 A.H - 1862 A.H

(13 yrs)

Parentage: Prince George Alexander, Count of Aldersberg, Princess Juliya Rose of Susa

Children: Edward Clement, Count of Aldersberg, Georgiana Maria Novellen-Aldersberg, Elisabeth Helaine Novellen-Aldersberg, Joseph Maximilian Novellen-Aldersberg, Eleanor Christina Novellen-Aldersberg

Prince George Alexander Novellen was born in early 1802 as the final child of Prince Joseph Leopold, Count of Aldersberg, and his wife, Henrietta Maria of Osterland. In his adolescence, he’d be privately tutored and obnubilated from the world. His four older sisters took the spotlight with his eldest, Charlotte, Duchess of Adria, essentially prospering Lorena of Cascadia as Empress-Consort.

George was virtually unheard of until his wedding to Juliya of Susa in 1828 when the dyad would have a confidential wedding only witnessed by the Dynasts of the Houses of Aldersberg, Susa, Rosemoor, and Crestfall, with the maid of honor being the bride's ardent companion, Ms. Maude Fitzpeter. A year later they’d sire an heir to the County, Edward Clement, followed by four more children throughout the years 1837 to 1843.

In 1849, George would formally inherit the denomination of Count of Aldersberg after his father, Joseph Leopolds, death. His tenure as Count was unremarkable at best with most of the upkeep of the County being by his eldest daughter, Georgiana Maria. Then in 1862, only after 13 years as Count, George would succumb to an illness that would instantaneously kill him.

1834 A.H - 1876 A.H

(14 yrs)

Parentage: Prince Geroge Alexander, Count of Aldersberg, Princess Juliya Rose of Susa

Children: Alexander Leopold, Baron of Aldersberg, Austina Prudence, Baronness of Aldersberg, Arthur Marie Aldersberg

Consequentially compared to the prior counts, Edward Clement was an exceptional count and later baron of Aldersberg. He was the firstborn son of Prince George Alexander Novellen and his wife Juliya of Susa. As a child, he was mostly kept away from the capital city Providence, shrouded away at the Aldersberg estate by his mother who would be reluct to exhibit her children afore the public at such puerile ages. For that reason, he learned to play by himself, and for fun, he and his sister Georgiana Maria would put on plays within their abode.

He additionally shared a close bond with her Aunt, Princess Charlotte Augusta, who showered the boy with affections not commonly found in his own mother who was arctic and distant. In the same regard, Edward looked up to his Grandfather, Prince Joseph Leopold Novellen, who often reminded Edward of his pristine lineage. His adolescence came to a dramatic halt when his Great-Uncle, Philip Augustus, was dethroned and his Aunt Charlotte was cast aside in the courts in favor of an incipient reign. This was when Edward began realizing the direness of his situation. His father was frivolous, doing little to nothing for the Aldersbergian group, so Edward took the reins with his little sister Georgiana.

Edward commenced attending court events, ineluctably being appointed to the Aster Council in 1864 due to his connection to Princess Amelia of Renzfeld. He would avail her in her brief tenure as Governess and upon her death, he’d be given the position of Lord Chamberlain. During this time he grew devoted to Anne of Sunholdt, the Lady Revels of the Aster Council. He thought of Anne with high standing for her position at court and ducal lineage. Eventually realizing she would make an impeccable bride for the prestigious Aldersberg family, and a fine Countess. They would be engaged in 1865 and wed in Asters Chapel with Anne donning the departed Duchess of Adria’s wedding dress. Within the same time, Prince Frederick would declare himself King of Oren and a civil war was afoot. Edward swore his County’s fealty to the King, but the courts were never equipollent.

He would retire early in 1871 to raise his heir, Alexander Leopold. Anon thereafter Anne would give birth to Austina Prudence, the only daughter of the Comital family, and Arthur Marie, the final son, and child of the two. As he raised his children away from the courts, he found himself disaccording more and more with the nascent Kingdom of Oren. This culminated in the 1875 Royal Audit that demoted the County to a Barony, and for that reason, he would leave abruptly and relinquish his title to his heir. For many years he would stay in contact with his daughter, Austina, but otherwise many postulated him to have died peregrinating Almaris.

1867 A.H - 1888 A.H

(12 yrs)

Parentage: Edward Clement, Count of Aldersberg, Anne of Sunholdt

Children: N/A

Alexander Leopold was born to Edward Clement, Count of Aldersberg, and his Consort, Anne of Sunholdt on the 7th of Horen’s Calling, 1867. He was the first issue of the comital pair and would be denominated proudly after Edward’s father and grandfather. Albeit he grew up in the midst of the perfidious Brothers’ War, the little boy was still noted by coadjutants to be highly curious and focused.

As Alexander aged he’d attend numerous noble celebrations, composing a few companionships that would last his lifetime. Unlike other boys his age though, he was involuntarily thrust into the position of Baron of Aldersberg at the ripe age of 9. Warmly, he accepted his promising position albeit it alienated him from his peers. Over his tenure as Baron, his proudest accomplishment was his publishing of the map of the Kingdom of Oren in 1882. Eminently, map illustration had become a favorite hobby of his which he’d spend his entire leisure practicing.

Astercalia came earnestly after in which he’d participate and dance with Princess Octavia Helen Novellen. The pair instantaneously clicked and became penpals to which they’d record their separate lives to each other over the next 6 years. Shockingly, on a jaunt to visit Octavia in the Kingdom of Haense, Alexander would succumb to a bandit’s attack. His exact date of death is unknown, but letters addressed to the Princess were found on him. Five months later on the 7th of Godfrey’s Triumph, 1888, they’d be gifted to Octavia who later relayed the tragic news to his younger sister, Austina Prudence.
