What circumstances led to this ban?

 

Although it has been a long time since the circumstances took place that would lead to my original ban, in my most accurate recollection I had been upset that many of my friends had been banned, and I had become the only one of this group of friends who had not been, so in a great lapse of judgement I sought to be banned by randomly targetting players and attempting to no-rp kill them, a long known way of deliberately breaking the server's rules. I did so in the presence of multiple Moderators who I cannot remember the names of, and was certainly banned. It has been something like five years since that original ban, but my ban was updated shortly after; I used an alt account to attend a warclaim, and was caught very quickly, further, in 2019 my ban was updated again because I had used an alt to attend another warclaim of that time. It has been five or so years, and I have since and do now feel remorse for having taken for granted the privilege of being a part of this community, and I do value that concept explicitly and will never repeat my past actions, I will not again take for granted membership in this community and will show the respect and maturity deserved of this community should you choose to be merciful onto me.

 

Are there aspects of the ban you agree and/or disagree with?

 

I have no disagreement with why I was banned, or why my ban was updated. I fully understand and accept responsibility for my past actions, I understand the past verdict of the staff, and hope to bring only respectful, mature and responsible behaviour in line with the Guidelines and Rules in place to protect the community into the future.

 

What motivates you to return to LOTC?

 

I first joined LotC in 2013 at the age of 14 with some friends who are now long gone and forgotten, but in the years I have been a member of LotC I have found plenty of new friends and alongside them have shared many memorable experiences, and looking back I would like to see most of these as positive experiences. Aside from the friends who have come and gone, the newer generations of players who I have spoken to and befriended, whether it be occupied by discussion of the vast player-driven history of the server that pre-dates them, or them explaining to me the many events and happenings that have gone on in my absence, I find that I am still driven to this server and it's community. I am creative in nature and greatly enjoy activities thereof, either building environments which players experience, or inhabiting and contributing to the many stories that are simultaneously run by this community daily, I am ever fascinated by the world which has been created on this server.

This man has only been constructive member who's built sturdy relationships and projects that far outweigh his mistakes since he was banned. His return after five years of punishment would only mean positive tides for LoTC in general, as it'd have gained a member with grit, experience, and passion.

Charlemagne is a bold, genuine, and creatively outgoing man. Clearly, he values the time he has spent on here, even missing the times he could not be here and regrets his past actions. I sincerely hope that he is able to bring his infinitely creative mindset and brutal honesty to the server again, when he is most needed, in my opinion. For this, I openly vouch for him.

I had never met Charlegemagne during his time on lotc, rather, on a different roleplay server. From what I interacted with him, I gathered that he would be an upstanding member of LoTC, and would certainly add to the server's community. He stood out from other players on FRP by being a good person, never trying to bend rules or be toxic after pvp fights, he was always super cordial, and friendly too. I was suprised to hear he was banned on this server, a few weeks after meeting him, because of how he had acted. super cool dude!
