REFORMS TO THE OFFICE OF THE PALATINE

Since taking upon myself the office of the Palatinate, I have come to the realization that the Office of the Palatine has been plagued with inefficiencies. It has become a labyrinth which has hindered rather than helped the Palatine in their duties, full of nebulous positions that require constant micromanagement to remain functional. With this realization, the Office of the Palatine shall henceforth dissolve the position of Kommissar and cease taking wards. These opportunities may arise again in the future under a new paradigm, but it is necessary for the sake of efficiency to commence a restructuring. Therefore, the new framework Office shall be rooted in four main positions, with the possibility of scribes and other assistance being employed by these officials.

 

Secretary of the Palatine - Arthur Stafyr

The position of the most trusted assistant to the Palatine, their job is to assist them throughout the proceedings of their day to day work. They are to handle the drafting of missives, prolomations, edicts, letters, and other varieties of official documentation at the Palatine’s behest. Additionally, the Secretary to the Palatine is also to assist in organizing other members of the office to the best of their ability.

 

Head Archivist - Iosif Basrid

The Head Archivist is tasked with maintaining ledgers and anthologies of official documentation. This ensures that the missives, proclamation, edicts, and letters of the Crown are properly organized for ease of future reference by the Aulic Council. They are also to write new missives in order to document historical matters.

 

Deputy Kommissar - Sebastien Asford de Savoie

The Deputy Kommissar shall be assigned to oversee and execute specific projects within the Office of the Palatine. Once given their projects, it’s expected that they can execute them mostly independently. Currently the project of the Deputy Kommissar is mainly to organize and produce a regular Palatinial Post in order to better communicate the ongoings of the government and Kingdom.

 

Head Palatinial Guard - Felix Weiss

The head Palatinial guard will lead any guards chosen by the Palatine. The Head Guard will receive a metal brooch and tassel to signify their position and ability to represent the Palatine on projects they are sent to. They may be tasked to lead investigations on the behest of the Palatine, lead small scouting missions, and accompany the Palatine personally to more secretive matters. The Head Palatinial Guard takes charge during matters they are sent to by the Palatine, though outside of these duties return to the hierarchy of their regular rank within the Brotherhood.

 

     Palatinial Guard

      Palatinial Guards are a select few members of the Brotherhood of Saint Karl chosen by the Palatine to accompany them on official business, and undertake errands and investigations for the Palatine. Palatinial guards will receive a metal brooch to signify their position, which is to be worn on their Brotherhood Uniform.
