KRUSAE ZWY KONGZEM

Issued by

THE CROWN

On this 8th of GRONNA AG DROBA of 444ES

Penned by Arthur Stafyr

VA BIRODEO E HERZENAV AG EDLERVIK,

The art of duelling to preserve and protect one’s honor has been paramount to the Haeseni way of life for centuries. However, the practice has fallen derelict as a means of conflict resolution in recent years. This is largely due to constraints placed upon it by the Crown during an age of uncertainty and danger, in which our people could not afford to quarrel amongst each other.

Therefore, the Crown announces its attention to reform and amend the art of duelling through the use of royal prerogative. The previous guidelines on duels are thusly to be amended as follows, that the art of duelling might be liberalized and fall into common use by the people once more:

Law of the People

JURA I OSOBAZ

These words shall proclaim the structure and instruments of Haeseni society.

Duelling

XXII

Civil disputes may be determined in the form of a duel, thus meaning that individuals may resolve their differences through the art of combat. A neutral arbiter must be present and mutually agreed upon by both participants to ensure that the fight is fairly conducted. The terms of the duel must be agreed upon with consent of both participants and the artiber before commencing. These terms are to specify the victory conditions.

XXIII

Nobility shall be entitled to settle familiar disputes in the form of a family duel, in which an agreed upon amount of members from each family duel to the last man standing, first to yield, or otherwise agreed upon terms. Duels between families shall require the approval of the Crown before they may transpire. Those between individuals shall not require Crown approval.

XXIV

Should a duel be to the death, the victor may not be taken to trial for the resulting death.
