PRIMARY WALDENIC SYMBOLS OF MERIT On the 14th of Tobias’ Bounty, 1897, the Fifth Waldenic Diet convened on the matter of writing up a formal document on the primary Waldenic symbols of merit in an attempt to affirm and clarify such ancient traditions such as that of wearing a torse or being awarded the Ferrum Cross of Aesterwald. A motion brought forth by the Lord Vandalore himself, it was proposed that, if agreed upon by vote, the document was to be prepared by next session.In addition, during this time, the Electorate of Bishop let it be known that their Electorate was from henceforth to be called Ostervik in recognition of their newly acquired title of nobility. They shall therefore in writing be recognized as ‘Bishop-Ostervik’ from henceforth. COMPACT OF MERRYWEATHER On the 14th of Tobias’ Bounty, 1897, the Fifth Waldenic Diet convened on the matter of potentially reviving the effort to compose the Compact of Merryweather as first presented by Lord Vandalore Ulrich von Alstreim years back. With no special opinions from any of the Electors the Waldenic Diet moved to a proper vote forthwith. The effort to compose the Compact of Merryweather is to be revived, and the first draft thereof prepared by next session, though only to be released during more stable times. CONDEMNATIONOn the 14th of Tobias’ Bounty, 1897, the Fifth Waldenic Diet convened on the matter of full denouncement by all Waldenic Lords and potential excommunication by the Holy Mother Church of the Canon to any man that would lay claim to the defunct title of Oren. A motion presented by the Elector of Bishop-Ostervik, it evidently sparked much debate. After some objections were voiced by the Electorate of Arentania, Reinmar-Sutica, and the Lord Vandalore on the basis that there were other options, Katerina Matriarch Jorenus was consulted on the matter. Heeding her counsel, it was instead suggested by the Lord Vandalore that they vow to denounce any man or woman who would dare lay claim to the Kingdom, or Empire, of Oren without consent of the High Pontiff of the Church of the Canon.
