Sir Duncan “the hound” Vuiller often referred to as The mad hound of Providence was a man knighted during the reign of Philip III. The man had started his career within the Empire as a member of the Ministry of Justice before later on becoming a member of the Imperial State Army and the fourth brigade. During his life having faced many enemies and challenges, all while the Empire started to crumble around him.

LIFE AND SERVICE

In truth, Sir Duncan was a Norlandic born man who came to the Orenian Empire during the early years of the 1800s. Different stories have been told of what made him leave Norland, some say his family died tragically in a house fire while others has speculated that they were murdered or that Duncan were casted away in his youth for his energetic behavior and early shown force.

Upon arriving in the Empire Duncan rather quickly had found his place within the Ministry of Justice, while serving he quickly rose through the ranks of the Ministry serving as its second in command for multiple decades. Yet while being a man appointed and holding office in courts of law he would most often be seen wearing his armor roaming the outskirts of the Empire.

On the battlefield, he would often be sent as the first line of defense or strikes. his rather tall structure and broad build in itself giving off a fright towards the enemy. While having been given years of training in battle and rather well knowing how to wield a blade in a duel, something could be seen quickly changing in the visage of the man once he got a taste of blood, this giving him the moniker of the hound, or the mad hound of providence.

His reputation upon the battlefield placed such a fright in the Orenian enemies during the War of the Wigs that one of the negative peace demands from the Dwarven side was the delivery of Duncan to dwarven side to stand trial before the obsidian throne. The Empire declined their demands, formally starting a world war and the official beginning of the end of the eight Empire.

The man survived most of the war, only to be found slain with his neck torn out by his tower within the town of Vuillermoz. His armor melted and bruised, his arm broken and face beat. Who ever were behind the murder of the Knight never found, yet it was clear from the scene and state of the body that who or what ever ended the life of Sir Duncan “the Hound” was something of unnatural nature.

Introduction to the Hall of Heroes

It is due to his bravery, skill and legend in battle that we see it fit to introduce Sir Duncan “The Hound” Vuiller to the hall of heroes. His memory never to falter, his spirit guiding us as we enter the battlefield. May he give us courage and may our foes fear our banner, just as they did him.

“I don’t recall any mad hound Vuillers, perhaps they are confusing it with a mildly agitated puppy. They’ll write about anyone these days eh. And it seems just about anyone can be Prince of Vilachia.” queried Prince Hadrian, Patriarch-Dynast of the Pertinaxi, Lord of Verkraft

Laurelie de Pelear Vuiller would look over the letter with a slightly tilted head "I don't remember anyone ever calling father a hound..." she sighed her mind going back to his dead body, then him as a ghost as she shook her head trying to get the image out of her head "Maybe Duncan that undying would have been a better fit"

Arthur de Lyons would be thoroughly impressed by the content of the missive.

"Quite the imposing figure! And an even more compelling mystery, regarding his death."

Cardinal Viktor struggles to keep a straight face as he reads of this new 'hero', remembering them as Godless pestilence

"Well, at least somebody has a sense of humour huh..."

The specter had just materialized before the Sons' eyes whilst they stood shoulder to shoulder in line, Commander Headband at the head of the dais.  Taken aghast, Wings who was in the middle of the formation clasped the shaft of his newly obtained Petran Slayersteel Halberd tightly, the chanting of his fellow brothers-in-arms filling his ears and filling his soul with unrelenting Petran pride.
"Make kill of ghost. Make kill of ghost. Make kill of ghost."

They did not, in fact, make kill of the ghost. It phased through them and promptly floated off into the great unknown. They suffered to Lambert's disciplinary action; he was not pleased with the Sons' combative reaction toward the phantom-Duncan. It bothered them none. They were Sons. They were badass.

A one Vuiller in the seven skies wonders where her brother-in-law is. Surely his time on the world's face passed, "It's been ages, where is that damned hound?!"
