Willstertheking2 1101 Popular Post Share Posted November 27, 2022 The Bloody Fox’s Final Log 104 of the Second Age A final bell rang out of the short life of Vallein Morea’ii Arvellon-Vuln’miruel. His life had been one filled with adventure, passion, love, betrayal, and violence. The mali’ame attempted always to practice the words he preached as the many mistakes he made in his early life led him to be one of firm principles and a strong will. The ame grew up well in Elvenesse surrounded by his family and friends. His young years were spent running through the wooded city of Elvenesse as he learned right and wrong from his haelun and how to play from his uncle and aunts. His brothers and sister growing as the Vuln’miruel seed was built around him, he embraced each one with the love that the adoptive seed always expressed towards new family members. Despite this happy childhood his earliest memory as a babe was watching as his birthplace and first home were overrun with inferni, the sight of the fires that burned as they fled on ships scarred his memory till his final days, so when Vallein attempted to follow the peaceful path and become a druii as all of his family had done before him, something snapped inside him. He left the path of the druii and joined up with a mercenary company to fight all across Almaris. The ame finally felt the strength to defend his home flooding into him as he survived battle after battle. Winning victory after victory till it all felt empty, there was no purpose in his actions. The ame left the mercenaries and returned home to Elvenesse in time to watch it burn. Azdromoth set fire to the street he grew up running down, to the room he grew up in, all the strength he thought he had gained was useless before something he could not reach. His path then led him to the Paladins of Xan who he aided in cleansing some evil from the world. Before he continued about on his own. The ame fighting darkness in whatever alley he could find it in an attempt to bring some light back into the world. The ambition led him to Haelun’or where he assisted in the rallying of the mali’aheral into a force that would one day become Celia’nor. Fighting alongside each of them till the city was established. Then as the time stretched on the taint that Vallein fought against filed into Celia’nor, seeping into even the palace as Vallein was banished. He traveled the world in an attempt to find a new purpose though his banishment merely reaffirmed his beliefs that these corruptions had taken root. He returned as a new Princess was crowned, attempts to be a measured voice of reason among the crowd fell on deaf ears and personal animosity overpowered anything that could have been made better. His anger at the corruption he believed to have taken hold boiled over when he attacked an Azdrazi. The ame’s attack was stopped by the Princess who threw herself in the way of the blade, with his attack failing, Vallein retreated. Returning some days later she attempted to take a step towards amends. A promise of protection offered to him was instantly betrayed as he was ambushed. Attacked in the back and dragged into the Celia’norian palace where the ame was butchered. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________ OOC Notes: Spoiler Lots of important details are cut out from above but I don't really feel like writing a book. I wrote quite a bit I think and just be happy goddamn it, its my post. Thanks to everyone I interacted with on this character. I am sure I am going to forget some people in my fancy pk letters but I truly enjoyed all the interaction I got on this character both good and bad everything led to a lot of real fun character growth and a pretty unique story that I felt really lucky to play out. I am honestly let down by the death but sometimes lotc goes wild and stuff happens and I ain’t no no pking punk. Huge thanks to the Vuln’miruel and Athri’onn player bases as they were really fun and an exciting new community to play with after Dwarves. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________ [!] Letters would be found within the cold and ruined confines of Vallein’s home and distributed privately to each individual. Sonna Vuln’mirul @Junoix Spoiler I have found myself in a spot haelun. I do not think I’ll get out of this one as I have the rest. I know I promised to come to you but after the instance with the mirror. I am afraid you will have to forgive me for being unable to keep that promise. If you are reading this I did not make it. I am not sure how to follow that with anything comforting so I will simply ask you one thing as your son. Keep moving forward. Everyone needs you the same way I always needed you. Be strong for them. I am sorry. Renae Athri’onn & The Athri’onn’s @TheHeftyDonut @TwistedFries Spoiler If you are getting this something got me. You were always someone I looked to as a model on what someone could be with things that none should have. You were always measured and controlled and always knew the right thing to do. I know you will continue to be righteous and fair to all those around you and I can say with open arms. The Aspects will always be with you Renae, look to them. Tell the rest of the family I am sorry that I never got to know them more, but every instance I shared with them I treasured. Seraphina & Ventys @Endaaron @GlassySkies Spoiler You were both right, I should have listened and became a druii. Please help to keep everyone safe now that I have gone. I have no doubt that many will do stupid things and you have always been a voice of measured restraint. Our family needs that now. Ventys & Astulion @TaytoTot @X3N02k Spoiler You are the two that I had the fortune of guiding down the path of a Vuln’miruel. You are both strong and wise with a fire burning in both of you to do great things. I know the Aspects will guide you both into accomplishing more than I ever could have but even now, as you are, I am so proud of you both not only as Vuln’miruels but as individuals who have come into their adult lives ready for what comes next. The Siblings @Kholibrii @Exolaltyl0305 Spoiler Naeri, Relevas, Laltyl, Ophelia, Sulcelia, and Faen. If there was ever a time to return to comfort haelun, I think now would be the time. I am the second child she has lost as I do not know how she was strong enough to bare the first. I cannot imagine the state of her now. Please seek her out. You are all Vuln’miruel, as you hear the stories of what finally put an end to me I know you will understand, though I am sorry to have left you all behind. Yulnayl @dove Spoiler Finish your trials. I never got to meet this partner of yours but I am sure you have picked wisely, but if you did not I encourage you to use patience in all you do. You remind me so much of myself when I was young, wild and free. You roam about seeking the fun of life, but take a moment to sit beneath a tree and think to yourself, are you happy or are you comfortable. Only then will the true joys of life be known to you. Nailo @TwiSama Spoiler What could have been. I am sorry to have left so soon but in my final days you were a joy to spend time with. I hope that you continue to bring to the world the same happiness that you were able to impart onto me. The inferno that you brought was one of adoration, an adoration that I am sure warms me even now. Thank you for the letters, I read them so many times it is likely I have them all memorized. I was fortunate to have a day with you, much less than the months that I did. Kosher & Acanthus @Pancho @AgentofDeath13 Spoiler I have no doubt that you are both moved to the same wroth that I would be if I heard of your own deaths. I cannot say how you should feel and I would not dare command your actions but remember the lives about you. You both have a responsibility to them, keeping them safe and protected while giving them the opportunity to choose their own paths. Lead strong nephews, lead well, and lead wisely. I know you both will. Valyris @Cepheid Spoiler I will not use my final words to you to argue about have-beens and could-nots. Nor to suggest a way for you to rule as I never had any talent in politics or the management of people as we both know. I bore a compassion for you that I never thought possible and though our estrangement led us to be on the opposite side of a struggle bigger than both of us I never forgot that night above the Ebonwood. I pray that my death led to something, anything. Though if it did not, I hope at least we got one more dance. [!] A few other private notes would be issued [That will be added to this post, people I inevitably forget as I am writing this at 1am. That is my bad.]

Laeonathan 3930 Share Posted November 27, 2022 Laurir Raziel Amethil made his way towards the palace; looking at the mass off people that just left. He just missed it the events yet the news rang to him from the two friends he met on stairs: Vallein has been executed. Raziel Amethil sighed deeply "He sought justice, unbanishment from our lands, yet he betrayed our trust by attacking us once more, trying to murder the Princess." Another, moreso relieved sigh escaped elf, knowing the one who tried to slay his friends was dead. "Justice has been served... yet was it the right way?" he asked himself, pondering about and remembering the fair interactions he had with him.
rukio 8910 Share Posted November 27, 2022 Spoiler If my death is the price for you to be yourself once more, then so be it. Those final words of Vallein, whispered to Valyris, would haunt Nehtamo that night. The blood from two merciful and clean strikes by his blade had finally been washed from his sleeve. He had handed down the fate that Valyris had declared for Vallein: Death. "I did not betray you or lie- madness and hatred had consumed your heart Vallein." Is all Nehtamo would say, staring at the body in the manor, wrothful. "If you had just agreed to go with me, without trying to rally your llir...you could have avoided your fate. You could have lived. Fool." Annoyed, he'd throw a book at the body which slumped, near headless beyond the crushed pulp that barely clung by tendons and sinew akin to tattered threads. A vague scent of smoke clung to the room, turning Nehtamo's stomach... or was that the guilt? He was unsure, but the door slammed behind him all the same.
kindEmperor 999 Share Posted November 27, 2022 In times of grief and pain where the soul suffers and the flame weeps The Nephilim who saw, the Nephilim who witnessed change - He who wanted it, and he who attempted to risk his own well-being to secure the one who tried to end his. He strove and his fire wept as it made battle with a sword that clung to his shoulder, he imagined a better outcome, yet the worst one set aflame. The thing had no time to regret or think of a mere distraction that plagued his draconic mind. "Wood elf, I will not talk and act as if I knew you. For I did not, lest you recalled that time when you tried to strike me. Though whether that you lived or that strike hit true, I would have acted as I do now, say what I say now. I apologize for not doing as much to save your life and your soul, and I am sorry that I shattered your last words, and didn't allow your beloved to silence your words - I take responsibility for that, it was my own fault. Only I can understand, how my fire wished to cling to you to save you from your misguided direction, perhaps we could have been friends, allies, or even brothers. I offer many blessings Vallein and Valyris, too many blessings to keep count, many prayers - I cannot save your soul now for it is out of my reach, yet I hope your body is given a respectable ceremony matter the crimes you committed - I hope however they deal with it, it cleanses it from its sins and needless mistakes." The thing declared out aloud, offering a simple shrug before he set himself down in the corner of a tavern - He was lucky to find himself a near-infinite amount of alcohol in which he would digest and devoured the strong beverages, his maw was avarice for the liquids, and he quickly drank as much as his heart desired - He quenched his thirst or attempted at least, his expression was emotionless filled with callasnous as the drinks took no effect.
farmerclown 3911 Share Posted November 27, 2022 Spoiler Valyris paced down the corridors late in the evening after the final blows were delivered to the Vuln'miruel. She made her way to the water basin in front of the mirror, taking a scrub brush to her nails to attempt to remove the blood that was caked upon her fingertips. The Ibarellan scrubbed until they were raw and she finally collapsed against the ivory countertop and she inhaled a wheezy breath. "I am sorry...I wish I could have fixed your blind hatred...I am so sorry..."She murmured to herself repeatedly, knowing it was blood that would stain her hands evermore. The final words he spoke rang within her mind as her breathing continued to be shaken, ragged. Yet they were echoed by the words of another leader of Elvendom that she had done what she had to do. It was a tug of war in her mind over it all, though the one thing that remained ever clear was simple, sadness had marked the day and it was one that would leave her unsettled for the rest of time...
AgentofDeath13 456 Share Posted November 27, 2022 The silence was all that hung in the air as the High Prince stood in the center of his throne room. He would have his letter in hand, those gloved mitts of his finding themselves curled into fists and pressed into his eyes before he took his crown and threw it at the throne. "WHY DID HE HAVE TO DIE... WHAT PURPOSE DID IT SERVE...?" Golden hues focused upon the stag etched into the ground as he thought out loud, "What good is the symbolism of the protector if I cannot even save my uncle? What has to be done for this senseless violence to end?" He would rise to the light of Malin atop the citadel and gaze east as he spoke to nothing, the young 'Ame seeking guidance from the sky. "Could I have saved him, had I taken his offer? The position of his Champion."

TaytoTot 1133 Share Posted November 27, 2022 A fox sat in her home, curled up in a chair, legs dangling over the arm rest. A letter sat in her hand, her coarse fingers clenching it tightly to her chest. Sobs escaped the poor woman, though she couldn’t find the words to say. Her uncle had just passed…and she was devastated. As she wept for his passing, she wished he had taken her out on his adventures. Maybe this time she could have saved him.
Pancho 2498 Share Posted November 27, 2022 Kosher Daesmon paced around the keep he called home, shivering and shaking with rage as he crumpled up a piece of paper and kicked it across the hall. “I fought for their freedom.. He fought for their freedom.. now their corruption has gone TOO FAR.” As the ‘ame Prince broke down crying, a light within him would extinguish, something dark taking hold of his heart and mind as the once golden eyes of the Daesmon turned dark. “I will have revenge no matter the cost, all the citizens of Celianor are culpable of this cowardly act and will burn for their crimes.”
TwistedFries 426 Share Posted November 27, 2022 The Serpent Father would have been left alone to his own thoughts as he sat in his empty bedroom. All of his furniture seemed to be removed as renovations are to take place at one point. He’d then quietly say something to himself “Always and Forever… R-Rest in peace Vallein, I will surely miss you.” He’d then close his eyes as he shifted his attention elsewhere.
TwiSama 331 Share Posted November 27, 2022 A lone eagle child sat top of her dear home around those she loved as she peered out towards the rising of the day once more. The letter she received was grasped so tightly in her hand as she let out a deepened sigh. The Inferno knew nothing but blame. She could not think straight anymore, she was not there to help, in her mind, it was all her fault for listening to him as he said to lay low. "Nemglan.. Lead 'im well down the right path. I may never see 'im again, but let him soar by yer side, lovely Thunderbird. Seek 'im to be free from this horrid lands. May I tell 'is story to the world, another legend to our stories dear Thunderbird. I shall fix his possible wrong doin's, 'e shall never be forgotten within our 'ome."As the druidess spoke these words, she folded the letter up neatly, going to grab her journal of Kanavainua stories. Taking her very terribly carved pencil, she wrote the title clear as day..."The Cunning Fox and the Caring Eagle." Nailo Kanavainua wrote on these pages as she was joined by her family, blood or not, she was glad to be around those she loved deeply. The chieftess brought her gaze to the sun's awakening once more as she got to see her fox boy once more. "Be free my fox boy, I cannot wait to see ye' every single day. This Inferno will never stop spreadin' what ye' so dearly wished."
Juno. 1276 Share Posted November 27, 2022 Spoiler A mother is not meant to outlive her children. And yet here she was, kneeling before her past husband's grave with their son's body in her lap - A body she had to travel to Celia'nor in order to retrieve. A brother and grandson on either side, two princes attempted to console her, but there was nothing that could be said or done to warm her freezing heart. He had not become a druid. She would never see her son again. Her firstborn, her pride and joy. And just like her daughter, forever lost with no hope of being recovered. I made an exception for her - I allowed this union, despite what she is, despite what I am. It was not grief nor regret that overtook the Matriarch's senses now as she tucked her son's crimson locks behind a mangled ear, but something far more sinister and hungry. There is a debt to be paid.
