Keeper’s Records on the Tribal Courts decision over the case of Ursus Grandaxe assault allegations

Facts of the case:
Ursus Grandaxe killed Elmnorlum Grimsunder, a Blackroot beardling who stole from him. Ursus, trying to stop the thief, launched a fire ball towards the beardling. The fireball caused a stone to unhinge itself from the mountain tops leading it to fall crushing the beardling and killing him.

Tribal Courts’ case of Prosecution:
Ursus assaulted a forest dwarf in the land where Hefrumm’s law arguably applies according to the Constitution of Hefrumm. The Tribal Courts do not persecute Ursus on the grounds of Kinslaying or manslaughter as those are crimes currently beyond Hefrumm’s competences when it comes to trialing dwarves. The Court did persecute Ursus on the grounds of assault, a crime that happened the moment Ursus launched a magic spell towards the beardling with the intent to cause harm.

Tribal Courts’ Ruling:
The Tribal Courts ruled that Ursus Grandaxe was guilty of the crime of assault. As punishment he was to pay in service to Hefrumm for the damages caused.

-Signed-
Chief Asketil Blackroot, Keeper of Hefrumm
