STORY OF THE GIRAFFE

Lord Throat

Filled with a perpetual boredom, the Owl made flight towards an unfamiliar stall. He entered through a portal of yellow and green, and found himself in an endless Bazaar ravaged by salesmen, traders, merchants and others.

The Owl flew overhead like a giant upon an insect, before landing in front of a magnificent stall; a golden bell sat in front of the trader, as a long-necked animal within the merchant-stall remained busy with packing.

Good day, long-neck.” The Owl spattered towards the Giraffe, as he did not offer his godly brother any special moniker. Unlike the Owl, the adjacent celestial lord held some elegance in his movement, as his winding neck stretched out towards the avian.

Hello there, brother Owl. I see you are no longer sitting in your lonesome in that dreaded library - please, take over the stall for one second.” The Giraffe requested, as he launched himself into another portal. In silence, the Owl stared at the now-empty stall, and decided to sit behind it.

In the eyes of the Owl, he thought he could do anything, as he was extremely wise and knew of simple crafts. Hah, easy!” He tooted, and took a hold of the stall.

The first customer to arrive was a wayfaring deity bearing six heads, by the name of Gladus. He came to buy one of the ancient relics of the Giraffe, the Wisp of Wisdom. However, the Owl was too focused on reading a book, and simply offered the artefact to Gladus without much care, nor took anything in return. Gladus offered a curt nod, and wandered off.

The next customer to arrive was a war-goddess from an enemy pantheon, who seated herself on a horse of gold. Her name was Aerfen, and she was mighty in comparison to all other gods. Her visit to the Giraffe was well-put, as she came to exchange her God-Slayer Trident for a Bell of Gurvir; it was a beneficial exchange. However, the Owl slurred at the war-goddess, and told her to leave the stall. Aerfen obliged in vexation, and no trade was done.

For the next passing hours, the Owl gave up many relics and artefacts that were compiled by the Giraffe.

Eventually, the Giraffe returned. As the Owl leered at his celestial brother, he left and returned to his elusive library. However, the Giraffe did not trust his brother, and searched the ethereal vaults of his Bazaar. In his shock, the Giraffe noticed many relics and artefacts had vanished, and that it was now emptier than before. With an unmatched rage, the realm of the Infinite Bazaar shook. OWWWWWWWLLLLLLLLLLLL!” His words caused stalls to shatter and fall.

The Giraffe learned of his brother, that though wise, he did not understand the fine art of tradesmanship.
