Strange men loitered about the gates of Minitz, rustling of arms and armour covered by the blows of the wind and the shine of plate, covered with the dark night. As one Mayrin Evergreen and Eloisee Rohesia were halted by strange armoured men, dawning the colours of yellow and purple they were quickly pounced upon. Numerous mercenaries and sellswords - Glebbites, sprung forth, armed with axes, spears, swords and shields, some with slings some with bows. A brutal skirmish ensued, many a man was slain as the men and women of Minitz suffered grievous injuries of their own. In the ensuing chaos Mayrin, a good citizen of Minitz was captured, carried off by the numerous sellswords, as the rest of their group began their withdrawal. It was a defeat by all accounts for Minitz.

The following morning a posting would be nailed on the outsides of the gates of Minitz, reading;

Surrender the Baron or we will kill the pink haired one and Minitz will never know peace…

Signed,

Your most blessed and magnificent Glebite

"Oh no... the glebites are getting organized" grunted Herzog Leon from within the walls of Neu Brandthof, holding an aurum dagger drenched in vampire blood from the last yearly Minitz execution as he was told of the threat.

Rage boiled over in Anton’s vanes. How dare they take one of his friends and use her as a pawn for their political ambitions. The fire within that he had worked so hard to quell burst from its containment and raged into full fury. He will enlist in the military and revive the skills he had lost so many years ago. If he can’t save Mayrin he sure as hell will avenge her.

Spoiler

XD yes. I quoted it.

"No, not Mayrin and the Duke." she gasped at the note the Glebites have left behind.

The Ritter was in a strange predicament. He didn't like the Glebites... he also didn't like the one they had kidnapped.

"Rip Bozo."

"What ?!" barked Gregorius after reading the missive "Minitz cant even protect their own people… good thing Im not there anymore" prayed for Mayrin's health and after praying said "I must pray for her, she is a family member after all…"

From the cries of the street nearby did Blume Herrlichkeit hear the skirmish from across the bridge. She was still trying to alter the armor colors she had been so proud to wear before, now feared if seen in them. She knew she wasn't a soldier, nor never would be one, but if Blume ever needed it again like she should've worn it the other Saint's day for her herbal exploration, she wouldn't have felt so sick afterwards.

Hearing the townspeople who walked by the road to Minitz as Blume checked upon her cart's supplies, she'd overhear about Mayrin being captured by a Glebite, she only thought of not only praying for her honorary sister's safe return & could it possibly have been the Glebite that Ser Phillip & Brandt addressed at the tavern the other day....? Why had they not followed up on that encounter?

Despite not knowing where to even begin looking for such a kidnapping, Blume could only keep her eyes & ears open for any signs of safe return, & perhaps word of any news. She knew Mayrin was strong; perhaps even one of the strongest in the city....

"I told you to stay safe, miss Mayrin...." the teen girl would mutter to herself as a tear dripped into the loom's nearby wash basin to wring out the bleached green dye of sleeves she was currently using, "...I.. hope they know what they're doing over there...."
