Gaius Rosius var Ruthern reads the treaty with a small yet satisfied smile. His heart now leaped with hope for the future of Almaris,

“Finally, we are all setting aside our differences to protect one another...”

The Countess of Aquilae, Johanne Vuiller had sent out a missive for her family to be brought together for a meeting. As Matriarch of Vuiller and Darkwood both, she had plans of testing each and every member of her household, alongside the workers and those she actively worked beside. Should anyone react in an unfavorable way, her sworn Knight, Sir Apollyon Marshall is ordered to be at her side, if matters needed to be taken into their own hands.

Deep underground, a certain paled figure would roll his snow-white eyes down the missive. A disgusting, elongated talon would follow each word, the wicked grin on his maw widening with each letter witnessed. "Hail Iblees." He'd murmur with a jest-filled titter, the words hidden and muffled by the soil and silt that lay above him.

“Look at that blob of taint.” The Great Owl murmured to itself as it flew overhead, unable to determine what the hideous abomination it sighted was.

Article II - Testing

The signatories of this pact shall all agree to test their population for any darkspawn curse or dark magic that they have. This will be done to ensure all nations remain clean of any accusations of aiding the war against descendants. These tests must be conducted by the nation themselves...

"They could've established a neutral authority with figures from each nation, to ensure impartiality, but instead they drafted this piece of already-used-chamberpot-paper to demonstrate to the world the sheer lack of regard is paid their demonic tormenters. It's clear that at least one, but probably more, of the signatories are Azdrazi or Azdrazi-Harbourers, and that this treaty is worth less than the paper its authors shat upon.

May GOD damn them all," Stanimar concludes.

"It is not the fate of mighty gods to abolish the evil in this world, but good-hearted peoples brought together by the light of hope." So observed a long-past hooded figure.

Ryke tilted his straw hat to obscure his face as he finished his business in Balian, and swiftly took to the road.

He would need to find somewhere else to hunt for a while.

"SULIAN!" Smiled bright the silver high-priest! "May we be blessed, as the sacred pure waters wash away the tarnish of the 'ata!"

Princess Lydia polished the golden bell gifted to her by the Great Sage, the pact signatories being read aloud to her by a maid. With a hum, the young Novellen pictured their impending victory over Cloudbreaker and the undead hoard.

"Pater will be proud, this was all my idea!" The girl continued on for the rest of the afternoon, pestering any who might listen about how impressive and wise she was.
