Anton reads then rereads the missive. Memorizing the names. “Teft was a good man.” He declares. “His killers will be found. We will give them the same opportunity they gave him. To drink from the cup of life one last time then decide how to best leave this mortal realm.”  He shakes his head. “Teft was a Barclay, I know he went down hard. I doubt they will do the same.”

Teft rubbed his chin from the Seven Skies. "May justice be swift and true, brothers." 

 

August Vilac threw the missive into the fire. "There is nothing honourable about her, the liar. She is not even a Vilac!" August stormed out of his new rooms in Balian to seek out his brother and inform him of the slander that was being spread about their Father.

In some quiet village, a woman cleans the gore from her blade and scrubs the blood from her skin. Her eyes of jade turn to the burning body atop the pyre, then down to the severed head and letter she kept. With a sigh, the knight rose to a stand, preparing to make her way towards the Duke of Minitz.

Tobias read the missive and thought to himself "well at least now we know how he died...Justice will be served for you uncle..."  goes back to whatever else he was doing.

Jan draws his sword from its scabbard and, looking straight at that finally clean blade, says "Blood for Barclay" After that he retracted the blade and signed the Lorraine, after which he mounted his horse and rode towards Minitz
