United Kingdom of Aaun 55 Share Posted February 20, 2023 Establishment of the Issued and Confirmed by His Royal Majesty, the King of Aaun on the 4th of Harren’s Folly, 1912 TO OUR RESTORED REALM, RECOGNISING Our gratitude to Our faithful subjects and allies, and always maintaining solemn remembrance to the sacrifice of the many ardent loyalists of Our Royal Cause throughout the past two centuries, from Helena to Haverlock and Acre; RECOGNISING That Our Crown and Our Royal House have drawn great strength and inspiration from the fortitude of Our esteemed ancestor, HENRY STEPHEN OF ALBA, Emperor over the Water and Rightful Emperor of Oren and Aeldin, who persevered in the pursuit of Truth and Justice in opposition to the usurpation of his rightful domains, for which he paid the ultimate price in hallowed martyrdom before Our Lord, at the hands of wretched usurpers aforesaid; PROCLAIMING The formation of a brotherhood to be Our Crown’s foremost Order of Merit as the IMMORTAL ORDER OF EMPEROR HENRY THE LION, pledging its awards of knighthood to hallowed martyrs and living exemplars of loyalty to Our Crown and Our Royal House aforesaid; DECLARING That knights of the Order aforesaid shall enjoy utmost respect and privilege, or eternal remembrance, in Our Domain as just reward for their service and sacrifice. THUS BE IT KNOWN TO ALL: That membership in the IMMORTAL ORDER OF EMPEROR HENRY THE LION shall be conferred by the Crown as its supreme head and on the advice and recommendation of its Custodian, and shall constitute the highest award of merit of the Royal House of Alstion and the United Kingdom of Aaun; That the symbol of the Order and its sole insignia shall be the WHITE ROSE OF ALBA, and that it shall be awarded in the form of a badge to all members, wherefore it may be worn by living members affixed to a coat or a sash or upon a proper Daelish bonnet, and displayed by their living heirs forevermore; and that the badge may be affixed to the heraldic circlet of HENRY STEPHEN OF ALBA, which may be displayed around the recipient’s coat of arms; That the Order shall have two Offices beside the Crown in its capacity as its supreme head: the Patron, hereby proclaimed to be HENRY STEPHEN OF ALBA, Emperor over the Water, Rightful Emperor of Oren and Aeldin, in perpetuity; and the Custodian, hereby proclaimed to be the PRINCE OF MERRYWEATHER, Patriarch of the Elder House of Alstreim, in perpetuity, as the position shall be hereditary; That appointment to the Order shall be reserved for the highest and extraordinary displays of loyalty to the Royal House of Alstion and the United Kingdom of Aaun, or acts of martyrdom in service to the House and the Kingdom following the March on Helena in 1725, and thus may be posthumous; that there shall be a single grade of appointment, and that it shall be named KNIGHT-IMMORTAL or DAME-IMMORTAL OF THE IMMORTAL ORDER OF EMPEROR HENRY THE LION; That KNIGHTS-IMMORTAL and DAMES-IMMORTAL shall be entitled to the style of Sir/Dame and the post-nominals KIH, and that a bust of their likeness shall be fashioned and displayed in the seat of the Royal House of Alstion; and that they shall be entitled to a funerary hatching displayed in the foremost Temple or Chantry of the United Kingdom of Aaun, and in every Church within the Crown’s sole domain; and that a candle eternally lit in their name shall be maintained in the foremost Temple or Chantry aforesaid. AS MAINTAINED dutifully by the Custodian of the Order, the roll of Officers of the Order and KNIGHTS-IMMORTAL AND DAMES-IMMORTAL immediately inducted into the IMMORTAL ORDER OF EMPEROR HENRY THE LION is as follows: ✿ Emperor over the Water, Rightful Emperor of Oren and Aeldin, Prince of Alstion, Duke of Furnestock, Alba and Balamena, Count of Enswerp ✿ Made Patron of the Order posthumously in 1912 Knighted for his unwavering commitment to restoring the Imperial Crown of Oren to her rightful heirs, the House of Alstion. Spent the entirety of the eighteenth century fostering resistance movements in Oren and Aeldin. Died a martyr’s death during the Sedan Rebellion in 1811, struck down as an elderly and unarmed man in Providence by agents of the usurper’s regime for his lineage and his involvement in an attempt by the Sedanite rebels to free political prisoners. ✿ ✿ Prince of Merryweather and the Rhine, Landgrave of Alstreim, Baron of Corwinsburg ✿ Made First Custodian of the Order in 1912 Knighted for his unshakable loyalty to the founding precepts of the United Kingdom of Aaun and zealously maintaining his House’s ancestral alliance and commitment to the House of Alstion. ✿ ✿ Baron of Rennes ✿ Made Knight-Immortal posthumously in 1912 Knighted for refusing to abandon his loyalty to Emperor Henry, declining to denounce the House of Alstion and thus swear oaths of fealty to usurpers Adrian Leopold and Antony “Peter” de Sola. For his defiance, he was stripped of his ancestral lands and titles and forced into exile along with the surviving members of his family. ✿ ✿ Baron of Helvets ✿ Made Knight-Immortal posthumously in 1912 Knighted for his commitment to Alstionite ideals of freedom and justice. Originally an Orenian noble under the usurper regime, he voiced his discontent with the regime’s tyranny and maintained ties with Henry Stephen. He was arrested by agents of the regime at the onset of the Sedan Rebellion and died a martyr’s death in the dungeons of Providence: stripped of his lands and titles and brutally tortured and executed without a trial in a mockery of the Rights of Man. ✿ ✿ Venerable King of Sutica and Atheran Salvus, Sovereign Lord of the Whispering Isles, Lord of Alstreim and Blackwater ✿ Made Knight-Immortal posthumously in 1912 Knighted for his legendary loyalty to House Alstion and ardent opposition to the usurper regime in Oren. He maintained his sacred oath to Horen as a Pertinaxi knight and backed the Alstionite March on Helena, and was allowed to keep his titles and his knighthood under the reign of Alexander II. After the Emperor’s murder and the subsequent usurpation perpetrated by Adrian Leopold and Antony “Peter” de Sola, he denounced them and formed a company of exiles dedicated to restoring the rightful dynasty. Following the Rubern War, he obtained the crowns of Sutica and Atheran Salvus and ruled his domains as a continued friend of House Alstion; for his loyalties, his domains were invaded by the Orenian regime. He supported Henry Stephen and was one of the last lords to dine with the Emperor before his martyrdom in Providence. ✿ ✿ Princess-Consort of Alstion, Duchess-Consort of Corazon, Lady of Alba ✿ Made Dame-Immortal posthumously in 1912 Knighted for fostering the friendship and kinship of Clan Gromach with the House of Alstion. With her Clan, she sheltered Prince James Francis Alstion, the son of Henry Stephen, and bound the Daelish people to his cause as Lord of Alba, through marriage. ✿ ✿ Lady-Castellan of New Alba ✿ Made Dame-Immortal posthumously in 1912 Knighted for her immeasurable contributions to the wellbeing and prosperity of New Alba during the life of Prince James Francis Alstion. ✿ ✿ Venerable Captain of the Nauzican Brigade ✿ Made Knight-Immortal posthumously in 1912 Knighted for reestablishing the Nauzican Brigade alongside William Corwin in service of Prince Leopold John Alstion. As a loyal bannerman of Alstion and a faithful Canonist, he opposed the usurper regime of the Anathemata and committed the Nauzican Brigade to military operations against their schismatic lot in the Sinners’ War. Died a glorious martyr’s death in a last stand at the Siege of Haverlock, where the Nauzican Brigade was wiped to the last man. ✿ ✿ Duke of Corazon ✿ Made Knight-Immortal posthumously in 1912 Knighted for reestablishing the Nauzican Brigade alongside Maxim Attenlund in service of Leopold John Alstion. He championed the Alstion cause in the Principality of Savoy, where he had been appointed Chancellor for his hard work and diligence. His government took a harsh stance against an Orenian-backed conspiracy directed against the Principality of Savoy, and under his helm it retained its independence from the Anathemata. He fought in the Sinners’ War and died a glorious martyr’s death in a last stand at the Siege of Haverlock, where the Nauzican Brigade was wiped to the last man. ✿ ✿ Venerable Prince of Merryweather and the Rhine, Landgrave of Alstreim ✿ Made Knight-Immortal posthumously in 1912 Knighted for his service in the reformed Nauzican Brigade and his assistance to William Corwin, as Grand Knight and Lord Regent of the Principality of Savoy. For his loyalty to the Alstion cause and his Order’s opposition to numerous usurper-backed coup attempts in Savoy, the Anathemata placed a bounty on his head. He fought in the Sinners’ War at the Battle of Lower Petra and the Siege of Haverlock, where he died a glorious martyr’s death alongside his compatriots in a last stand of the Nauzican Brigade. ✿ ✿ Prince of Merryweather and the Rhine, Landgrave of Alstreim, Baron of Corwinsburg ✿ Made Knight-Immortal posthumously in 1912 Knighted for his commitment to the creation of the United Kingdom of Aaun, thereby fulfilling the pledge of his father, Ulrich Lothar, to aid in the securing of the Alstion crown. When the Crown raised the Black Banner in response to the rebellion at Acre, his Principality of Merryweather was, along with the then-County of Minitz, among the first to raise its levies in support of the Crown. He fell in combat leading Alstionite troops against brigands in the waning hours of the rebellion. ✿ ✿ Duke of Minitz, Count of Neu Brandthof, Viscount of Tucay, Baron of Boriënwald and Brandthof, Lord of Durres ✿ Made Knight-Immortal in 1912 Knighted for his commitment to the creation of the United Kingdom of Aaun and his contributions to the safety and protection of the Crown, as well as his House’s generous contributions to the coffers of the United Kingdom.
