The Elf of Armadillo

The Lord of the March's day had been a foul one.

When he first came to the Barrowlands, he'd expected trials and tribulations aplenty- And ones he welcomed gladly, as to combat the Undead was the nature of his craft. He was no mere warlord, after all, but a Templar! With that came a code of conduct by which he'd lived most vigorously. However, Feudal Templar Warlords- It seemed, do not take to monotony well. First- There was the endless discussions, that was mindless enough, he'd fallen into a sense of... Disquiet of late, unsure of how to proceed now that he had his land, his family, and his caslte- After all, that was all he ever wanted, wasn't it? Still, a thousand and one decisions every day, and so many of them pointless- And when those discussions turned to arguments? That was outright headache inducing. Originally just the Elves and the historian squabbled- But now it was the monster hunter in the peasant? Uther found swiftly he wasn't terribly skilled at conflict resolution that didn't involve a sword.

Then, the Dark Elf marauders burnt his field- For a second time, and in greater measure then the first, and as they haplessly tracked them through the rain? They burnt another. By the time Uther returned to Barrowton- Much of his prized fields went up in flame. And yet somehow, though that was perhaps a catalyst, it was not the worst to come.

After that came the planning- So many words said, so few solutions, truth be told, Uther's eyes had started to gloss over at the half an hour mark- And such only concluded after he shout down someone for speaking out of turn, just in time for them to be 'spied' upon. Sure enough, people let out screams of 'giant spiders' and the like, and before long- Knight, Peasant, and Child alike were running amok the castle trying to find the source of the 'spiders'. The children, of course, were loud and obnoxious as all children are, but perhaps, today was especially bad.

Uther was summoned down below after being mauled by one of said children- Only to find that, not only had they located the spiders in the undercroft, but now were well on their way towards tearing down a wall to get to them! Nemea especially- God, that Elf grated on him sometimes, even if she meant well. So, in an effort to find the spiders, she dug. And dug. And dug... And after what seemed like hours- Though was probably only a few minutes, turned up nothing. But for Uther, who watched as his wall was destroyed, only one thing came to his mind...

As Enrique laid the final brick- And the Elf shouted distantly. Uther stared off into the distance for what seemed like a thousand yard. Before finally, he turned to leave, and retire for the night, and when he dreamt, he dreamt of spiders...

Thus, the Legend of the Elf of Armadillo was born.

Stoneback actives his dwarf vision in the depths of the labyrinthine Barrowton undercroft, easily navigating his way around hurdles an elf was simply incapable of surpassing. He was simply built different.

Adrielle had to deal with the overly obnoxious children when everyone else got to brick an elf in the wall.

Orelia surveys the brickwork as she wanders the undercroft. How peculiar, the mortar appears fresh on one portion... And then, right before her, a single chip breaks free from the stonework. All of a sudden, the sound of a strangely elf-like gas leak seeped from the hole.

With a frown she promptly slathered some nearby fresh mortar onto the opening. Thank goodness Barrowton had a few canaries down here... Clearly gas was quite the problem.

One of these obnoxious children, was just glad to have been apart of something! She'd be back one day to bother the poor people of Barrowton soon!
