It pleases the Crown of Aaun to recognise Our leal subject, Fernand Auguste of the House de Lewes, and hence reward their service with tenure in fealty to Our August Throne. It is by the grace of God and counsel of Our court, and furthermore with the prerogative vested in Us by the People that, We invest Fernand Auguste of the House de Lewes as the Baron of Virdain, to hold and pass this charge onto their legitimate heirs, along with all associated titles and honours for the duration of their loyal service. They are enjoined to maintain the law of Our realm, to abide in peace by Our rule and to rise to Our defence once summoned. In return, and as sign of Our gratitude, We do privilege them to administer their domain as they will in accordance to the established expectations.

The Marquise of Haute-Epine, Marguerite de Lewes, reveled with pride for her brother's enfeofment to the ancient Barony of Virdain.  "At long last, you, too, have joined your younger sisters in noble status," She quipped to Fernand, cupping his cheek. "La couronne nous a bénis avec sa touche d'or."
