AndrewTech 2811 Share Posted March 13, 2023 TO ALYSANNE O’ROURKE 18th of Harren’s Folly, 1915 By Connelly Harrison Brae Alysanne, Alysanne, ‘tis most true, I have been beaten in chess by you! Due to your cunning and steely resolve, I have been left with a debt to absolve… Your brilliant eyes of emerald green Have bested me fairly and squarely and clean And that my dignity might be returned You've sent me a-questing, my honor to earn. Your hair flows like honey in bountiful store, Your beauty and grace shaketh me to the core. When I catch a glimpse of your radiant grin I feel my heart floating - and freezing - within. The light in your laughter, your way with your words You are truly a queen, and not just on the board. ✵With Great Thanks to FRIEND and YUUNA KIM for their Assistance and Support ✵ Spoiler Something one of my characters had to write and “publish” after being beaten in chess and losing a bet IRP. Big thanks to @Wholesome_Thomas for helping guide my (very eccentric) character through this as well. If not for his intervention, this would have uh... Turned out VERY differently if you're familiar with the character. Anyway, enjoy!

Upon having the poem promptly shoved into her face by her superior officer, the woman in question bursted out into an array of laughter. "As excellent as I had expected it to be." She spoke. "Though - I do believe a deal is a deal." The Adunian mused to herself as she made her way to the armory for a certain Brae.
