The Duke of Blackvale sits in front of an abandoned gate, waiting for the Aaunish forces to engage the Adrian. Sadly the city seemed empty of life, or bravery.

Henry of Aaun walked, and walked, and walked. He wandered across the Aaunic countryside in his newly-gained armour. It wasn't safe, of course. He had left his escort at Corwinsburg, despite the awful amount of protests such had caused.

He wondered, as he had wondered for the past few days, what had gone wrong? The cause of the spark of the rebellion was evident to the youth, but he wondered, when had the firewood been placed to allow it all to be lit aflame?

The Prince stared into nothingness. They had defied the world together when the Atrus Covenant seemed ready to tear it all apart, or when Acre made its attempt to repeat their glorious revolution. When Petra seemed all but ready to march beyond Guise, they had held together, and they had prevailed. The hands that were once used to sign the Constitution that would be the righteous base for a just and free Kingdom, now at eachothers throats.

Despite everything, the Heartlands now burned once again.

"Here I was thinking madness was not a genetic trait. Seems Joseph the Mad his genes travelled a long way to have finally reached the next Duke. Perhaps it even touched some Skygods in the process and made them unable of any diplomatic resolution." Caius Godwin Jrent wondered as he heard the various reactions.
