In accordance with the declaration of the mayoral elections in the year of Our Lord, 1934, I – Alice Theresa of Mies – am elated to formally announce my candidacy. I shall keep my promises concise and short for you all, listed and described as below;

1. Promoting and creating new Petran practices or uplifting current ones. This shall be done by creating space for groups to work together in developing missives that describe our traditional food, costumes, and customs. I shall personally work to form these groups and help in the organization of such research of our culture.

2. Hosting Vallagne Town Halls in order to collectively listen to the concerns of the city’s community. The frequency of such meetings can be discussed upon the 1st Town Hall, and shall be an open space for discussion amongst all us civilians – within the kind respects of mutual courtesy. This would need, if necessary, approval of HSG Archduchess Renilde I and the River Council.

3. Developing a relationship between Petra's legislature, the Round Table, and the city-dwellers of Vallagne. As a current elector on the Round Table, I intend to fully create transparency between those of Vallagne and the legislature, and – if elected – would use open spaces such as town halls to develop an understanding of the legislature that civilians believe necessary to draft and put forth.

4. Presiding over festivals or other events requested by the citizenry. Such, of course, shall be done in accordance with the current event administration within the Commonwealth of Petra. Festivals, such as a Summerfest, with street foods, dancing, pig-racing and other exciting events will be hosted.

These four promises are simply the beginning that I shall ensure to see through if you, fellow citizen, decide to cast your vote for me, Alice Temesch, in the upcoming elections. If you have further ideas that you would like to see implemented into city life, or anything you would like to discuss before casting your vote, do not hesitate to send me a letter and I shall reply shortly.

Signed,

Alice Theresa of Mies

“She shall do fine work.” commented the Viscount of Mies with a nod, a pat on the back given to his sister as they passed each other; his endorsement made official.

The Baron de Wett simply eats the advertisement, eager to erase all evidence of these undignified electoral politics. "This woman - if you can call her such a thing - knows little of her Emperor's Cake, and even less of her Paulanier," he bumbles, swilling his brandy.

Somehow, some way, Alice Temesch manages to find the distinguished Baron de Wett to offer another advertisement along with salt and pepper shakers.
