A Balianese historian would look through various books pertaining to both nations. She would soon come to notice that despite being called weak, King Adrian I of Balian had managed to control a longer and more stable reign than King Frederick I of Oren. As such, she concluded that the missive must be incorrect, and would set about figuring out how to write such a wrong.

A young boy from Veletz named Arthur would make his way to the city's library and look through various books about both Oren and Balian. He would soon come to notice that despite "Frederick not being able to manage the Kingdom for long" The Kingdom of Oren was able to fight back all the bandits and actually manage to get a win streak on them instead of hiding behind gates in any type of conflict

An Azdrazi vividly remembers the 'all-mighty' Kingdom of Oren losing to its own Barony.

Ottavia of Pompourelia thought back on a time balian allowed bandits to tie up and harass a foreign noble "Interesting...."

An Azdrazi recalls killing a prominent Novellen in his lifetime. A facet of his memory he had not recalled until now. Curious.

"I praise the new name. Let Novellen shrivel and die, fall to ash asunder."

As Lucien perused thru the scrolls and missives of the realm, this one specifically would catch his gaze. "A wise choice." Sounded the Ashford as he finished reading the paper. "Do not carry on such a cursed name and allow it to prosper furthermore, but allow for a new, pure name to bloom, and carry on for life-times to come."

Aurelia of Stassion (or perhaps, simply, Aurelia Stassion now) enjoys a delicious soup amidst all of the discourse of the day. She cannot be further bothered.

"Oh ho ho perhapz if mi wub accepted as Emperor ub Oren none of diz would have happened." A goblin recalls having made the claim alongside many many others as he thought of what a great golden age he could have lead before returning to his trash can.

Minuvas recalled Emperor Peter III, a great man by any races standards, parading in the streets of Helena - admiring the Imperial household and all It had done for the realm of men. How low men have fallen, squabbling among their petty Kingdoms as children protecting their marbles.

Minuvas would have to find the missive entertaining. As the last living Arch Chancellor of the now dead Empire, he had been there at the birth of many young Novellens, teaching and tutoring some, and watching many more of his pupils sit upon thrones Kingly and Imperial. He has been a friend to the Novellens, save the line of Frederick whom had taken a more violent opinion of Elves in his Kingdom.  Though he did not know either of the Brothers during their War - he had made his peace with the men of Balian, returning to them many symbols of authority of the line of Novellens - including numerous jewels worn by the late Empress Anne.

The vast Imperial Archives that remained in the Elf's personal possession would be referenced - yet it was unlikely that this line of Novellens, if they were even Novellens at all he thought, could dissolve such a great line.

That they wished to disown themselves of it, of course, was without contest - such behavior was unbecoming of the dignity of the Novellen name in the first place.

The King of Balian would be thoroughly confused. Able to count the amount of times he's interacted with the Stassions on his right hand, but never recalled insulting them. then speaking to no on in particular, "I wonder when they'll get me out of their mind."

Ezren commented back to the king unprompted "Tu get to live rent free though!" he let out a chuckle, tallying his winnings from the recent competition. "Do they really expect tu to change your entire family's name over some little squeak of a threat? ". Ezren went off to the manor near the palace, calling as he approached "Princessa! Did tu hear? Tu have to change tu name because some dimwits are squeaking over it like little mice!" @HIGH_FIRE

Princess Charlotte of Marsana yawns from within the Stassion castle. In truth, she had no idea what was going on but was happy it appeared to be working out for the better!

The Novellen Princess would look left. . . Then she would look right. . .then she would simply shrug.
