EmiliainWonderland 1526 Share Posted January 25 Estrangment of Haus von Augusten Issued by the County of Salia, B.A. 93 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rg18Kf4en2o&ab_channel=TaylorSwiftVEVO In light of the recent announcement regarding the engagement of Fredrich von Augusten to Theodosya Amador, the House d’Arkent hereby declares the formal withdrawal of its support for the von Augusten family. The House's disapproval of Theodosya Amador has been a longstanding sentiment, particularly following her dismissal of Peter Theodoric d’Arkent, the heir to our esteemed household. The House d’Arkent has historically expressed its aversion to Lady Amador, especially considering her previous involvement with Peter Theodoric, the dear first cousin of the heir to the Augusten Viscounty. This association ended abruptly, as Lady Amador chose another man, later revealed to be the nephew of the Countess-Consort. A prior letter was dispatched, cautioning about the distress faced by Peter Theodoric due to Lady Amador's actions of leading him on, with the hope that the family could offer solace to their cousin. Regrettably, no communication was extended regarding the purported relationship between Fredrich von Augusten and Theodosya Amador. Consequently, the reasons for the house's decision to distance itself from the von Augusten family are enumerated as follows: 1. Despite being aware of Lady Amador's previous betrayal and the resulting heartbreak of his cousin, Fredrich von Augusten knowingly engaged in romantic conduct with her, having publicly expressed his plans to bind himself to her in matrimony. 2. Despite receiving a letter detailing Theodosya Amador’s transgressions with the House d’Arkent, Fredrich von Augusten consciously extended an invitation to his wedding for the family of his cousin, Peter Theodoric, displaying a clear disregard for the feelings of his cousin and his aunt, the Countess-Consort. 3. Despite Marlena d’Arkent née Augusten’s historical support of Haus von Augusten, she has reached the consensus that further endorsement would only perpetuate the belief within the von Augusten family that they may continue to slight their close relations. Additionally, previous accusations of vampirism within the family further stain the reputation of Haus von Augusten and their associates, posing a significant liability to House d’Arkent regardless of the truth, – a liability that House d’Arkent shall bear no longer. SIGNED, The Right Honorable, Marlena d’Arkent, Countess-consort of SaliaThe Right Honorable, Gabriel d’Arkent, Count of Salia His Lordship, Peter Theodoric d’Arkent, Heir to the County of Salia, Lord Zelador of the Courta Cometa

Cheese 2315 Share Posted January 25 “They never even courted….” Liridona mumbled in response to the missive, delivering a copy to her nephew. “This is just like that one boy who ended his life because Poppy rejected him! Absolutely absurd!” @critter

Carson 939 Share Posted January 25 Amadea von Augusten, the alleged "vampire" in question, tossed the missive into the fire while lounging on a comfortable cabin. "Whenever women decide to choose someone else, the men lose their minds. their egos must be so hurt! Such a pathetic sense of entitlement."

She'd turn to her handmaiden and nod slowly "I should imagine you do..." It was almost as if Sybille could hear the problems this could cause coming from a mile away.
ErikAzog 3313 Share Posted January 25 The child of Peter Theodoric and Princess Eirene Novellen wondered why it even mattered. but he didn't understand the mind of adults and their grievances, he returned to play with his Armada toys, using the Admiral to fight off imaginary foes.
critter 2470 Share Posted January 25 Henrik Amador rises, silently, from his childrens' playroom. He shuts the door softly behind him. He takes ten paces onto the nearest balcony, and, facing the snow-thick forests and hills of the Haeseni wilderness, bellows a string of curses to make sailors crimson and soldiers sweat. Several nesting birds abandon their nests. A doe, grazing peacefully beyond the walls, gallops far off into the night at once, and a bear raises a groggy head from hibernation, wondering if it has local competition. He thereafter folds the missive neatly into his pocket, and sets at once to finding his littlest sister.

lalo 297 Share Posted January 25 Theodosya Amador, the apparent pariah in the d'Arkent's household rolled her eyes upon reading through the missive. A subject that was dishonest and continued to be mulled over for over eight years was moot to her. "Lord Peter and Ea were never courting. S'pose the family has forgotten that letters from the matter exist." With a final 'tut', Teddy dropped the parchment into a nearby wastebin. She hastily returned to sewing her wedding dress - her heart skipping a beat as she thought of her fiancé.
TheCapybara 1803 Share Posted January 25 "I have a sneaking suspicion that this was not written with either approval of Heir and Lord. Let us hope that at least."The young Galbraith expressed in a confused tone to her handmaidens as they braided her auburn colored hair. Once the servants had finished braiding, Anna Cassiopeia turned her head to order the handmaidens to leave her presence. As they left, the young girl would speak to herself privately while adorning herself in accessories of the neck and ears. “Let us hope that is the case, as this would be most damaging to the House d’Arkent’s image. Let's hope this pettiness will be solved behind closed doors, unlike its beginning.”

Ezren glanced over the missive after sybille, a hefty sigh and shake of his head following. He opened his mouth to say something, though closed it soon after and just looked at Sybil, his face saying all that needs to be said.
