Reconstruction of a Homunculi

Due to the growth of homunculi popularity in LOTC, one thing has struck me for homunculi; Their death timer. The death timer for homunculi is around a whole OOC week, or 7 days, or 168 hours. The problem with homunculi death, is that two things can “Kill” them, a potion that is nearly common knowledge and mortal wounding. I am suggesting two different alternatives to the OOC week dilemma that me and other homunculi players have to face.

 

Reduction of the Timer to Around Two to Three OOC Days. 

The reduction of the timer will prove beneficial to those whom play homunculi for others and have important roles that need to be fulfilled for such. Having been killed an a random encounter can drive a wedge in between such. 

  • Sluggishness after timer is up or after revival will be changed from 1 OOC day to 2 OOC days. 
  • Another alternative to above: A healing period to where the Tawkinist or Alchemist whom created the homunculi must assist in the healing process for the homunculi after it’s full resurrection. The healing process fully restores the body back to it’s full intent and speeds up the process of sluggishness.

 

The Reassembly of the Homunculi off of Found or Reconstructed Pieces After Death.

 

If a Homunculi were to perish in battle, a freak accident, or by any means; The Tawkin or Alchemist whom had created the homunculi has to go through “Piecing” the homunculi back together. This can be by either redoing the reconstruction off that very piece or finding the rest of the homunculi and placing the homunculi back into it’s molding stage to be reassembled.

  • Sluggishness will apply for 2 OOC days after reconstruction and are vulnerable to falling apart of breaking all together. (This could be a countermeasure for possible CRP loopholes.) 
  • If a Homunculi were to engage in battle, they are more susceptible to damage than before and could break at any moment within combat if it exceeds normal expectations for a recovering homunculi.

(IDRM this amendment. I've never had to deal with my Homunculus dying so I don't really have a preference for the cooldown.)

This lore has been denied. You will be sent a forum PM regarding the reasons for denial within the next 24 hours.

When we updated Homunculi with the Tawkin changes, we debated the respawn timer. We decided against reducing it since Homunculi death is rare and it's just a drawback. Also, just a can of worms to piece Homunculi back together post fatal wound when they already have their regen. Though comparable, Homunculi shouldn't function akin to Automatons. Also that Potion PKs you . . .
