Passive Friendship [Tier 2]

with the two pacifying abilities I want to just be sure. This doesn’t affect player characters like wild shaped druids and any CA with lesser souls? Since both are animals by definition but either higher thinking and capable or temporary one.

Very much enjoyed reading through all of this, though I have a couple questions. Some of these might be a bit simple, but trying to understand how much difference there will be for non combative rp with how these abilities have been rewritten compared to what is currently accepted.

  Reveal hidden contents

First regarding the Bramble Wall: picture shows a wall 3 blocks long and 2 blocks high, but the description of the ability says the wall would be 3 high and 2 wide. A 2 block wide wall doesn’t seem the most useful, if you’re meant to duck behind it. Is it meant to be that dimension or were the numbers transposed and it’s supposed to match what is seen in the example picture?

Regarding the infusion changes, there’s a pretty big change made to cleansing. This is a fairly common infusion from Blight Healing that’s often used to make wearable trinkets or weapons which passively work against blight. Carried by an epiphyte, tree lord, or natural creature it protects them in an active blight zone. The new description here has cleansing specifically for totems that are meant to be stationary, creating a large protected radius. Would it be possible to maintain a smaller, less potent form of the infusion that could still be carried by those susceptible to such corruptions? Without it, any plant based Druids would be unable to go work in most corruptive event zones, which tend to be the druid community’s main focus.

  Reveal hidden contents

Blooming as we have currently in Blight Healing is used to return life to plants that are dead or dying. We do not have another another ability that rejuvenates what is dead. Growth affects the living, and cleansing only cleans corruption. Is it the intention to have Druids no longer able to revive dead plant life that’s been killed through one means or another?

Awakening has differing redlines from what is currently within the Blight Healing lore. Will those redlines be updated to match what is written here should this pass? They currently conflict in regards to time for exhaustion effects as well as MArt staves. Additionally, there’s a redline here stating that they need to be marked on an MA. Will we be expected to have every item we awaken with this marked down onto our applications?

Powersharing has a history of both passive, non combative use and combative use. I like the changes made for combative purposes. However I noticed that it has been made solely a combative spell. Will that disallow the flavor, aesthetic focus often used outside of combat? Can it only function if two Druids share with another one, or could it be used by a single Druid in a non combative manner?

In regards to greensight, noticed it’s written as two different means of use for completely blind Druids vs seeing Druids. Is a seeing Druid able to utilize it passively should they have their vision completely obscured or will they need to continually be recasting it throughout their rp?

All in all, great work on this. Well thought out and the different systems you’ve come up with for measuring exhaustion and combat use is something we’ve long needed. Simple and easy to follow.

I will answer your points as per listed below:

1) An error on my part, the image is the correct representation, I will fix this.

2) Regarding infusions, we are using a lot of lore that was left unchanged when Raiderblue wrote this in 2022. This was written before the current Blighthealing rendition, so any changes from existing blighthealing may not have been translated over properly. I'll speak to Raider and do some hotfixes.
3) Same as point 2.
4) Same as point 2 and 3.

5) Powersharing should be able to be used out of combat, I can see it only says events, I'll speak to Raider and get it hotfixed.
6) Greensight will be clarified, I'll speak to Raider.

You fail to mention Templar’s in the compatibility section besides the fact that diety magics cannot be connected to, and then in the attunement section state that templars are an exception to being attuned. Templar lore makes Druids incompatible as-well in their redlines, so I believe this needs to be fixed.

The templarism compatibility was generalized under the 'other deity magics' section. I notice we left it in Attunement by accident, so I've removed it for clarity.

I am confused. There is only one pacifying ability.

Passive friendship lets a druid talk to plants and animals. They can use this to talk to druids who are shapeshifted, and most CAs with lesser souls can speak the common tongue and are not animals (they have lesser souls?) so I do not understand the point of reference or confusion.

Pacify only works on mounts or combative pets, which is clarified in the redlines.

The definition you are using is wrong. Many thanks.

THE TIER SYSTEM

Very well written formatting here. Definitely helpful for first-time readers should it get accepted.

One of the biggest changes with this write proposes that tiers no longer change the emote count in spells, but will only change the range of the spell used.

Excellent change here.

A druid will require [1] NARRATIVE day of rest before they can use any other combative spells when the encounter is over.

How long is a narrative day of rest? It might be better to just put an OOC time here equivalent to a narrative day as to avert confusion or put the time in parantheses.

[] Greensight [Tier 4]

Feel like this should be two emotes minimum rather than three, since this seems to leave the Druid defenseless and while there is a cost to that I don't see anything other than utility in the use of this spell so I don't think it'd be malicious to lower the emote count by one

I was just going to have it be player discretion, i.e. when combat was over sort of vibe. OOC time might be a bit useless imo.

The Werewolf goon-to-writer pipeline has been an unexpected but very welcome change....
