*Joul Tensen thinks for a moment, and then begisn to write. He attaches the note to eagle's leg, and watches it fly away. After a moment, he turs around and leaves, rising clouds of dust with each step.*

I am afraid I will be leaving the organisation, The path you partake is not the one I wish to pursue...I decided on parting the ways.

May your sword and eye stay sharp and way.

Halboron finishes writing his reply to the application, attaches it to his bird, and sets it off into the world.

Ferror Roberts,

Although you did not use the updated application form, I can see from what you have done that you would make a great addition to the rangers, and am therefore accepting you into our ranks. Send a bird to either Sean Deschain (Seannie22) or myself (Alzaan) to organise to meet with us, or you can travel to the town of Glenwood which we are using as a meeting point until we find where to put our new base (Get our charter accepted). We also have a large lack of food within the guild currently, so your cooking skills will prove useful to us.

Have you ever been banned or had a ban report posted on you: No.

IC

Name: Lief

Race: Human

Weapon of choice: Bow

Combat Expierience (Guilds, training): training

Factions you have fought against: Orc Raiders and other small bandit groups.

Do you have any non-combat related skills: hunting, farming, scouting

Why you wish to join us: To further my characters ranger skills and achieve his life goal.

Please answer the following questions to the best of your ability-

1. You have recently raided a slave traders base along with four other rangers, and rescued 9 slaves in the process. You set up camp for the night but only have enough food for ten people, and you cannot leave the camp as there are monsters lurking all around. What do you do?!

As a true ranger I would sacrifice my food towards a slave. I would then ask if The other rangers would also give their food to the slaves. In the morning I would then go hunting and find some food.

2. As you jump from tree to tree in a forest somewhere in Asulon, you see a noble looking man being help up by a bandit on the path. The noble is reaching into his pouch to hand over his money to the bandit as he is defenseless, and the bandit is holding a knife to the nobles throat, with a longsword at his side. How do you handle this situation?

I would quietly jump out of the tree and sneak up behind the bandit. When I get close enough I would engage him in battle. Once defeated I would help the noble on his feet and help him to the nearest camp or town.

3. You and three other rangers are escorting a high profile noble through a valley near Renatus when suddenly a group of bandits ambush your unit and you are knocked unconscious. You awake to find two of your friends dead, and the remaining three of you tied to a tree. Your friends remain unconscious and you can see the man you were escorting being dragged away into the hills by the bandits. Your weapons have been take and your hands are bound but the dagger of one of your fallen comrades lies but a meter from you. How do you escape and complete your mission?

I wriggle in the bindings a small bit until I can get one arm or a leg loose. Then using this limp I would grap/kick the knifed towards myself and cut myself free, along with my friends. I would then advance towards the friend who is being taken away and rescue him.

Thanks for Reading! :D

Lief,

Your application was quite good, but I found a few flaws in it. The first was that when asked if you had any training or experience, your replied simply with 'training'. I would like you to further explain how you got this training and where you got it from. Secondly, when asked why you wished to join, you said 'to further my characters ranger skills'. Your characters? I am sorry Lief, but this guild is not a storybook. We are looking for men to become rangers, not characters for a story. How you wrote that deeply puzzled me, but I am going to take it as you were just tired when you filled in the application form and were really referring to yourself. Lastly, at the end of your application, you put an odd little symbol that I have not seen before after writing 'thanks for reading'. Is this symbol some sort of custom where you are from, because it has confused me even more than your previous answers. Please send me another letter ((Post IC below)) explaining these 'errors'.

((First off, we have no application wall....))

Kin,

My Rangers opperate in the south, we rarely travel North of Alras, and so having outposts of any sort in Skravia would be pointless for us. We also see Skravia as a powerful nation, and we would rather ally with it than foolishly attack it.

IC

Name: Lykos Daekon

Race: Human, Northener of mixed blood

Weapon of choice: Greatsword or Family longsword+Shield.

Combat Expierience (Guilds, training): 60+ years as a huntsman of man, beast, undead. Proficient in squad leadership techniques, more than proficient in most types of combat, most notably the sword, the shield, and unarmed combat.

Factions you have fought against: As a mercenary, I have fought against almost all of the main nations, and have partaken in many wars. From siding with the Orcs against dwarves to Siding with The Teutonics against a generic warrior's guild.

Do you have any non-combat related skills: I am rather skilled in the construction and usage of explosives, and am apt at blacksmithing.

Why you wish to join us: Even a powerful warrior needs people at his back... And I sure as the Nether will not be a vassal to some chivalric shite-infested regime.

Please answer the following questions to the best of your ability-

1. You have recently raided a slave traders base along with four other rangers, and rescued 9 slaves in the process. You set up camp for the night but only have enough food for ten people, and you cannot leave the camp as there are monsters lurking all around. What do you do?

I have been a hunter of the beasts of the wild my entire life... So I would have three rangers follow me out into the dense forrest, where we will slay the beasts of the night as well as hunt down some extra grub. Upon eliminating the threats in a circular and growing patrol, we would return to the camp, with both the pelts of monsters along with food in our hands...

I would lower myself to the ground and try my best to evade detection and get close to him... Then I would wait to see what would happen next.

-If the bandit takes the man's stuff and turns to leave, I would most likely move up behind him and slit his throat, taking the noble's stuff and handing it back to him, expecting a reward for my help.-

-If the bandit were to kill the noble and run off, I would track him down and give him the death he has earned... Then I would take all of his plundered goods for myself. After taking the bandit down, I would return to the corpse of the Noble and take what I need from him, be it minas or food. As the path is a rather public road, I would most likely leave the body there, as there is nothing to gain but disease from moving the body.

3. You and three other rangers are escorting a high profile noble through a valley near Renatus when suddenly a group of bandits ambush your unit and you are knocked unconscious. You awake to find one of your friends dead, and the remaining three you tied to a tree. Your friends remain unconscious and you can see the man you were escorting being dragged away into the hills by the bandits. Your weapons have been take and your hands are bound but the dagger of one of your fallen comrades lies but a meter from you. How do you escape and complete your mission?

Upon awakening, I would use my free legs to pull the corpse of my comrade to me, then pull out the dagger and pull it to my hands, where I would use it to cut my binds. Noticing the Noble is already out of sight, I would make myself free and work on cutting my fellows bonds to free them as well, trying to rouse them to conciousness at the same time. Upon waking them and freeing them, I would tell one to stay behind and tend to the body of our fallen comrade, as no one gets left behind, even in death... My other companion and I would then proceed in the direction that I had seen the V.I.P. being dragged off in, using tracking techniques learned from years as a hunter of man and beast to find the group of bandits. Upon finding the bandits, I would instruct my companion to stay and create a distraction as I snuck around behind the group. Upon the group being distracted, I would take the bandits out one by one until they are either alerted, where my companion and I would go into open combat with the bandits, or they are all taken care of. Upon eliminating the threats, my companion and I would retrieve the V.I.P. and continue our mission, meeting up with the other ranger on the way to our destination.

A warning... I am not the "sir yes sir" type...

Lykos Daekon.....

Your name was certainly not what I would ever expect to see when opening an application letter to my guild, and with the amount of combat skill you hold, I cannot do anything but accept you into our ranks. Although, I was not particularly pleased with your answer to the second question. I know you dislike nobles and how they think themselves so important compared to others, but as a guild we are dedicated to help all but the very worst of people. I would much prefer it if you were to kill bandits before a life is lost, instead of just waiting around to see what happens. Anyway, I am sure you'll be able to find Glenwood and meet with us on your own, and I shall see you there.

Hello, there.

I have recently caught one of your men, who say they are a 'Fallen Ranger'. I believe that you may want them to be kept alive, but see, I am in need of something. I need Minas. I am quite poor currently, but I know that your Guild might be able to scrap together a bit of Minas. This mans name shall not be revealed, as my location shall not be.

So, have fun scraping the Minas. I want 4,000 Minas, nothing less. If you try to scam me, I shall kill the man. He will not leave alive, until I have my money.
