I wrote a sea shanty for new alras, based on the classic song 'http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lM5x3TJpP24'. Felt the new pirate nation could use its own shanty :P

 

Standard text is sung solo, while the italics are sung by the crew

 

Generally used during hard labor, such as raising anchor, loading cargo, or pumping out water

 

 

 

 

South Alras

 


 

In South Alrasia I was born!
Heave away! Haul away!
South Alrasia round Cape Horn!
We're bound for South Alrasia! 


Heave away, you rolling king,
Heave away! Haul away!
All the way you'll hear me sing
We're bound for South Alrasia! 


As I walked out one moring fair,    

Heave away! Haul away!          

It's there I met Miss Nancy Blair.          

We're bound for South Alrasia! 



I shook her up, I shook her down,    

Heave away! Haul away!

I shook her round and round the town.    

We're bound for South Alrasia! 



There ain't but one thing grieves my mind, 

Heave away! Haul away!

It's to leave Miss Nancy Blair behind.    

We're bound for South Alrasia! 


 

Heave away, you rolling king,
Heave away! Haul away!
All the way you'll hear me sing
We're bound for South Alrasia! 


And as you wallop round Cape Horn,

You'll wish to Aeriel you'd never been born!

I spent me pay like a bloody fool!

I'm Oren born and Oren bred,

Long in the arm and thick in the head.,
