History

The Early Years

Have you ever been rejected?

Have you ever been pushed away for something that is of no fault of your own? This is what Kristian has dealt with his entire life. Born in the village of Ager, he was quickly abandoned because of a hideous birthmark. This mark was a sickly pink that he could not hide, covering his face, hands, chest, and other areas. Raised by no one, he grew up begging on the streets. He sought solace with the creatures of the rivers and ponds outside the village. For this, he was nicknamed "The Crawfish" (he later changed this to "von Craw"). By the age of 10, he was thrown out, chased by many people who thought he was a orc, demon, or worse. For years he traveled from village to village, scavenging what he could get at any time.

This continued for quite a time, until Kristian met someone new, someone he could be around. His name was Robard, nothing else was ever grabbed. Robard was a thief, a scoundrel, chased out of his village like Kristian was his. He did not mind Kristian's mark, and he actually found it quite interesting. He taught Kristian the ways of the sword, and Kristian quickly mastered it. He named his sword Slice... simple, and not too menacing (They would never see it coming). And while Robard taught Kristian to fight, Kristian taught Robard to care. Robard did not rob after he met Kristian... they found jobs wherever they could go, trying to amass money for a life on their own. Robard and Kristian made a living for a while, begging, finding jobs, and dueling to survive. Life was perfect.

But this didn't last forever. Kristian and Robard had been on the road for about 2 years. Kristian was now 14, and had amassed quite a reputation. They were traveling in the wilds, hoping to build a house with the tools and money and materials they had gained over the years. In the forests, they traveled peacefully, sleeping under the stars. However, one day while they were walking, they were beset upon by Nomad Orcs. A whole raiding party attacked them, killing Robard, and leaving Kristian for dead. He awoke to find his sword gone, his materials and money stolen, and his whole body in pain. From that day on he swore revenge for Robard on all Orcs, and would always look for a way to kill or hurt one.

Back in the Holy Oren Empire, Kristian found his life without purpose. He decided he would try to find a way to protect his nation against foreign threats, even though he had been turned out. He needed to show the world that he was not a freak, he was in fact a hero.

The First Days

His Journey began at the Cloud Temple. He awoke alone and cold, unsure of how he got there or why he was there. For a day he wandered the grounds, regaining his strength and composure, making a plan to journey out. He followed the road signs, meeting several fellows along the way, among them an Orc, but without a weapon, Kristian hurried on. He also meet a fellow human, who came from the Cloud Temple after sustaining an injury. The man warned Kristian to stay away from the Empire, for no good could come of it. Kristian knew that even though the man warned him, he could not stop.

Kristian's journey continued through the Kingdom of Salvus, where he stayed in several towns overnight, using up his meager supply of Minas. Now, Kristian was in a bad way, for the bread from the temple was all but gone, and he still had no job, no money, no purpose in his life. He found himself in Abresi, and stumbled into an inn with no money, and hardly any energy. He attempted to hold his composure, but started a fight with a golem and hurt himself terribly. His life was a wreck, and he knew that one way or another... this was the end.

Or was it?

Kristian found a home in the Valiants... they gave him a place to eat, to drink, to train. He was happy for once in a long while. He became friends with the people there... with Guren, Jack, Dvari, the Grand-Master Morg, and Toby were among the closest. He was part of the guard near the end of the civil war, and had to protect the land... while he did no fighting.

OOC: Kristian began a wanderer, and ended a wanderer. All in all, he was an amazing character to play.
