Barvardor (Barry) Merryberry is the older brother to Perdurvir (Perry). Their story begins with their journey to the city of Hefrumm, where they hope to settle down and establish a bakery. Although forest dwarves are known for eating fish and berries, the Merryberry brothers are sick and tired of constantly eating those foods.
The nomadic Merryberry clan has few survivors (if any) left, and is from the woodland lands north of Hefrumm. Perhaps Barvardor has some siblings scattered around the world. The only one known to him is Perdurvir, whom he is traveling with. His relationship with Perdurvir is, in Barvardor eyes, extremely great. Although Barvardor is naturally good at things Perdurvir struggles at, like perfecting the recipe for cookies and keeping his beard in good shape, Barvardor does help his younger brother out when needed.
Barvardor is a devoted follower of the Brathmordakin, as forest dwarves are. Specifically though, he worships the Hearth Mother Anbella and especially looks up to the hero Dwain Irongut, who loved food. Barvardor would love to meet Hiebe Irongut, the great-grandson of Dwain, and perhaps bake him a loaf of bread.
As for life aspirations, Barvarodr is a fairly simple dwarf. He does not wish to be wealthy or to be a hero, rather he enjoys spending time with his younger brother and wants to bake scrumptious goods for others. The greed that consumes many dwarves is not present in Barvardor in terms of gems, money, or glory, but rather his greed manifests itself in his desire for fresh baked goods. This differs from Perdurvir’s huge aspirations, but Barvardor doesn’t really know that.
