Snow was born shortly after the arrival to Arcas in 1705, to her mother Ingrid and her Father Harold. They were a poor farming family that resided near the Kingdom of Haense. They barely earned enough money to stay alive, but they managed. When Snow was born her mother was surprised by her pale skin, for her and her husband were light, but not that light. It reminded them of the snowy mountains, and thus came the name.
Growing up, Snow asked about where her parents were from, and they told her, why shouldn't they? They told her about Atlas, They told her about Nordergrad, how beautiful it was, how they missed it.
Snow was always a curious one, she asked questions people didn’t know the answers to, wanted to learn how to fight, even though ‘pretty girls don’t need to know how to fight’ as her father would say. She didn’t like having to be ‘the pretty girl,’ she wanted to fight with the men! so she trained in secret, or she thought it was secret, but her mother watched her, pride in her eyes watching her daughter grow.
Snow ended up working in a Tavern in the Pinemarch at 16, she was treated well there, her parents were close by as well, only a few hour walk. She visits them occasionally, and stays with them for weeks at a time when she does, always having to wait for somebody to travel with to get back and forth, she wouldn’t dare be caught in the woods alone at night.
