In Atlas, a number of years ago, when Kain was still rather young, he had lived on a farm out in the middle of nowhere, or at least, almost in the middle of nowhere, his farm residing out near the city of Haense. He had lived a generally peaceful life out on his own, tilling the land, planting new crops, so on, which he expected to do until the end of his days. However, one day, the blizzard that was created by The Vaeyl had seemed to be so far away was inching closer, destroying his crops, and destroying the land that he had so preciously taken care of. This caused him to retreat up to the north, and reside with the others in the old Cloud Temple. Not much long after this, everyone had to retreat across the ice wall, which brought him into this new land labeled Arcas. He continued to live his life up to this point, choosing to reside with his fellow elves for now, as he didn't have the materials to till, and create another farm, hopefully looking to reside in Irrinor, Aegrothond, or one of the other nations.
