Hubris

Leonardo “Leo” Rawlins is a Heartlander human who is looking to move past his history as a thief and become a bard or minstrel for someone affluent or even become well known enough to be a standalone musician. He moved to the capital of the Empire of Man; Helena, as he had heard it provides good housing to citizens and what good a place as any is the capital to make a name for yourself. He had done this when he was 10 years old right before the Siege of Helena, he lost his father, his only relative during that siege and had been taken in by an orphanage before growing to be the man he is and looking after himself. He wants to do this as soon as possible as he is human, and his kind are cursed with short lives unlike others such as the elves who are born with blessed long lives filled with magic and lasting beauty. He still has nightmares of the perils of the war of the two emperors and his father dying during; to which he holds a grudge against the empire of Renatus because of it. Interesting Facts: Leo wants to one day play music for some affluent noble as his passion is music. Leo likes to spend a lot of time to himself, playing a small stringed instrument called a Fretted Dulcimer on his lap. Although when confronted with other people he tries to be as charismatic as possible, sometimes going a bit overboard. Leo when he has been in dire straits has in the past turned to stealing people as a thief in order to make ends meet. He sneaks into people’s houses and steals from those who he thinks won’t miss the ill-gotten goods. Although mentally this would be his natural reaction to start stealing, he tries to avoid this if at all possible.
