Rothilion was born to a pairing of elderly druidic wood elves who lived within the Sparrow Grove. There he had two older siblings, a brother and a sister, both cared more about the Druidic Ways than him. One day his father was killed by a rogue bear who was roaming about outside of the grove. This upset Roth greatly and he begged the other Druids to bring him back from the dead, but they denied his request saying that this way the nature of life. After this moment Roth became very distant from the Druids that brought him up, including his own mother and siblings. He continued his training for a time but eventually he decided that he did not want to learn to heal others, he wanted to instead learn how to hurt those who would harm him or those he cared about. So Roth left the Grove and began roaming the wilds learning to kill animals with blades and bows. While this act of hunting appeased Roth for a time, he eventually grew bored of using simple weapons of man, but he did not know what would fill the void. One day, while trading furs at a village outside of the woods he hunted in, he overheard an interesting conversation. Two humans were discussing something they called the arcane, and this subject intrigued Roth. He gave up his act of hunting and decided to begin researching the arcane in the Southern City-State of Sutica. There he read much about the arcane from books, but he did not learn how to wield it. Eventually Roth decided he needed to begin searching the world for objects and individuals who would further his knowledge and understanding of the arcane, and that is what he is doing in the modern day.
