Arguine was a slave for part of his childhood in a faraway land. He learned how to use an axe at a very young age to protect his mom and his brother, Anguier. On a particularly lucky day, Emenial and the other slaves at his master’s house came together to form a revolution. However, the battle between the slaves and the master’s guards was bloody, and despite the fact that that they won the battle, Emenial’s mother sadly became a victim of war.
Filled with rage Emenial and Anguier wanted those who hurt them to feel the same pain that they did. So for 15 years they, along with the other slaves that survived, went to different manors and plantations with slaves and proceeded to liberate them all. However after one particularly hard battle, Emenial found himself injured, and unable to fight, so he left his brother to continue the fight.
Afterward, he wandered for a while to find new ways he could help the cause his brother was still fighting for. He found himself in the city Curon, in the country Arcas, in which he sent slaves to become citizens often, and found that there were soldiers from his old country patrolling the streets to recapture former slaves.
So he built the tavern "The Tankard Arms” on the side of the road and used it as safety beacon for all slaves traveling across that road. He offered discounts to all soldiers, and once the soldiers were drunk, he would take the slaves out of hiding, and sneak them into the city at night. He adopted the name Emenial Spyre to not blow his cover and continues to help runaway slaves to this day.
