Sly grew up with no parents in a rotten town called Dingville. He doesn't even remember his parents' faces. Since Sly didn't have any parents to take care of him, then he had to steal himself, to be able to survive.
The first item sly has ever stolen, was a dark black mask with bright white eyes. He stole it from a quite old and wise man that lived in Dingville, although sly didn’t know that much about him, besides the fact that he was popular, and for that reason, he wanted to prove himself worthy and stole an item from the poplar wise old man. He went ahead inside the old man’s tower, found the mysterious looking mask, and decided to pick it up, as soon as he picked it up, he heard a giggle to his right. It was the old man... he just looked at sly and smiled as he ran out of the tower, seeing nobody follow him. Since then he has been carrying the mask, and people rarely gets to see him without wearing it. Still this day today he wears the black mask.
Surprisingly, Sly enjoyed taking stuff that didn't belong to him, it gave him this feeling of a challenge, and was always proud when he won the challenge. Sometimes Sly had to be sneaky in order to steal, other times all he needed was some good finger tricks, a lovely smile and a skill to be able to lie.
Sly didn't really have any friends either, he did all his stealing alone, he never thought he would need anyone's help, and so far, he didn't.
Sly got older, and after a while, he got pretty bored of Dingville, stealing the same stuff every day. He wanted to go out on an adventure. So Sly decided to leave Dingville.
Sly still did his work alone, if you could even call it work. He began to take stealing to the higher levels, he even stole from guards now, but he also realized, it became harder and harder, maybe he WILL need some help.
