I was born in a small Highlander village next to a big forest. As a kid I used to explore the forest with my closest friends. We Always went as deep into the forest as we could. It was then that my love for adventuring began to flourish. I was the first kid my mother gave birth to. She died the moment my younger sister was born. I had a hard time dealing with my mother’s death and could not forgive my sister for what she had done. Her existance brought even more despair upon our family. My beloved father became sick and could not work on the land anymore. For that reason I had to take over his work and couldnt go into the forest anymore. Everyday I saw my friends and even my little sister going into the forest while i had to stay home to work on the field. This made me hate my sister even more and every night I would pray to the gods to end her and my misery. But the gods never responded to my prayers. They even seemed to favor her over me. Because the farm didnt do well my father had only money to send one of us to school. I was to old to go to school already so my sister was the one that got send to school. Meanwhile I still had to take care of the lands (something I disliked). Most of my old friends already attended school years ago and because i was not able to play with them anymore we grew distant. This was the first time in my life I experienced true lonelyness. Little did i know this feeling would stay with me for the rest of my life. Even after my dad got better and I had more free time I never seeked contact with my old friends, because i was not used to social interaction anymore. I was 13 years old when a group of Orcs tried to attack our village. They were spotted at the edge of the forest and like most of the man, my dad was heading out to fight them, leaving me alone with my sister. At this moment my hatred for her was at its limits. My emotions took over and i stabbed her with the knife my father had bought of an elven merchant that had visited the village weeks prior. She died that night. There is no doubt in it even though I ran away as soon as the blade had penetrated her chest. I ran though the fields heading into the forest. From far away i could hear the screams of the ongoing fight. I kept running deeper into the forest knowing i would never return. I went to the nearest city, Haense, in the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska and tried my luck there. Even though I never had any education I have managed to survive here. To this day I never left the city, yet I hope I will find a way to explore the lands like I used too. (Sorry for the possible grammar mistakes. English is not my first language).
