Wada grew up in the suburbs of Karosgrad, together with a small amount of other halfling families that hadn't moved to a halfling-only village. During his childhood, he helped his parents with their woodcarving buisness which allowed him to fulfill his main goal for doing so; earn enough to buy his own sweets. Unfortunately as a halfling, he regularly got picked on by human children, both for worshipping Knox and being very, very short. Without other halfling children around to keep him company, he went out less and less, staying mainly in his parent's shop until he turned 18, and moved away from the city to a halfling community. Saying goodbye to his parents, he started to learn how to farm, and became a bit more social. Unfortunately he could never quite seem to open up around humans again, and when he turned 33 and became an adult, he started his journey towards Bramblebury where he could leave his thoughts of Karosgrad behind.

Fulnir comes from a long line of miners. His father was a miner, his father’s father was a miner, and his father’s father’s father was a miner. He started mining from a young age, and later on became the foreman's assistant. This position gave him the opportunity to skip some gold and other valuables from the ore the miners brought in, and used this to pay for his family's expenses. Because no matter how low a dwarf falls, family should always be first. But Fulnir's dreams are greater than that. He wants to mine. All the way through to the center of the world. That's where he believes is the largest diamond the world has ever seen. And he is determined to make it his.
