Caesar was born from a female nomad who abandoned him when he was 1 and left him with his older 17 year old sister so she could run away and subscribe to a new cult. The sister raised him until he was 11 while they traveled as nomads where the sister eventually became engaged to a very wealthy ruler that ruled over a small but wealthy village. Through his teen years, Caesar learned proper mannerisms and became well educated under the wealth of his new royal guardian.
Unfortunately, the same cult that drew his mother away was diffused to the village by a group of nomads where the ruler eventually adopted it and enforced it onto the village. The sister resented this cult as it made her lose a mother and she personally thought it was dangerous and unorthodox. However, Caesar never knew the cult that was behind his mother’s absence as his sister never told him. The ruler, knowing the sister’s opinion on the cult, had her stoned to death in the best interest of the cult. Caesar was not told how and why she died for years and in those years, the ruler tried imposing the cult on him as well.
Caesar initially was one with the cult and was taught how to fight, hunt, and craft. But eventually he was told to lead a crusade with his royal family on all the goblins, including the ones within the village. At age 17 he watched his artificial family slaughter countless goblins and one, who had admitted to having a crush on Caesar, was ordered to be killed by Caesar himself. On the day of her execution, Caesar backed out and finally figured out that this was not right for him and swore to the ruler that he would never be apart of this cult.
The ruler, in a fit of rage, shouted at Caesar and let it slip that he ordered his sister to be killed under the cult and he would now do the same to him. Caesar pushed his royal guardian off a balcony where his body landed near a group of warriors belonging to the cult. They rushed into the ruler’s house to avenge the fallen ruler but by the time they reached the third floor, Caesar had miraculously escaped through the windows. He had landed in a tree and fled for miles and miles through the forest.
From this point on he had no desire to belong to any form of a faith or religion as he traveled hundreds of miles by himself. He survived through the techniques taught by the cult and was mainly only concerned for himself. From the age of 17 to 23 he rarely ever stayed put and explored many lands new to him while avoiding any cult or religion he stumbled across. He gained a lot of abilities and knowledge during this period of his life and would occasionally find himself aiding those in need through small deeds. For the most part, he interacted well with most of the people he met through the manners taught to him during his teen years. However when he was nearing the age of 23 he found himself constantly getting in conflicts with bandits and decided to stay relatively put in fewer locations. He would only fight if absolutely necessary. From this age of 24 on, he starts to slow down a bit and his body, while still being strong, begins to age due to the fighting and traveling he has been partaking in. And because of this, he’s not totally against the idea of settling down in a kingdom/village.
