  4. Penelope O’Rourke stepped foot into her coach, for Haense, without sending a bird first. As she had gotten near the gates of Karosgrad, the coach hit a pothole and the front right wheel went flying off into the distance. She poked her head out the window, frowned, and finished the journey by foot.

  8. Jeanne Poisson de Motte's bright red lips curled into a wide smile when she saw her friend enter the gates of The Seven Skies. Striding forward in her panniered yellow gown, she took out a small velvet box, containing the earrings made of wonk eyes. "Florenza! You forgot these..." The Auverginian said, smiling, tears rolling down her face somewhat as she was reunited with her only friend in heaven.

Antonia had what many peasant people wanted, family, clothes, and minas. Although she was a middle class lady, she liked to spend extravagantly and host large parties at her family’s house in Kaedrin. She was even considered the town ‘belle.’ Although she had a very opulent lifestyle, she also preferred the smaller things in life such as gardening, painting, and playing the violin. When she was educated, she was never the brightest student. Although she liked to study, she would constantly become distracted as she was bored easily. She spent her time studying astrology, art, and anything related to gemstones. She always fantasized about collecting precious stones and displaying them. But what really fascinated Antonia was politics, she saw it as a sort of ‘game’ that required intricate speaking skills to persuade people. When she was 19 her parents taught her the value of a good-days mina through working with people. She soon learned that things are not easy in life, and must be earned. Although she learnt this at age 19, it did not stop her love of parties and gatherings with people. She had been introduced to her cousin, Clement Devonshire, at a young age, and they became the best of friends, until he was never seen again. She wept for days, and found out that he was killed by plague. (This was a lie told to her by her parents to make her stop weeping). Soon after, plague had swept through Kaedrin and both of her parents passed. Left with nothing, Antonia had been evicted and forced to move to other kingdoms such as Helena and Haense. Over time, realizing that her parents survived the war of the two emperors in the 1710s-1720s, she believed that she could persist and survive. Over time she worked until she could buy her family home back. Her naive behavior had led her to believe people’s lies, and thus she lost minas. Her empathy, however, led her to run in government as she wanted to help suffering peasants in the Empire.

Acras 1705. Clement was raised in the Devonshire household from the year 1680. The Devonshire House was once a large country house situated outside the Kingdom of Haense. His father, Mr. Devonshire, had been a prominent merchant for the city. He was empowering and domineering. His mother, Georgiana Devonshire, contrary to the beast, had been delicate and had been gentle and kind to all the people she had met. Clement was raised with his 5 siblings, whom 3 only survived the ensuing revolution. His three sisters, Miss Bois, Miss Marie, and Miss Parfum had worked with Clement as a team in the gardens of the country house. They had been educated by their governess, who taught them about the economics of other kingdoms. He was also taught how to play the family harpsichord. Although he had little friends, he enjoyed the company of his close family members. The family had gotten news in the month of July that revolts were coming upon their manor. The servants fled in terror. The siblings had no idea where to go as they had not been taught about the world; only literature. The carriage in the stables of the courtyard had never been used. The three siblings had heard of the oncoming revolutionaries and crudely attached the horses and fled. As the carriage had made it to the town nearest to the border where the language to the siblings was different, they had been captured due to their lack of passports. Clement had been separated from his siblings and taken back to Haense on a small cart. Clement managed to flee into the woods. For 6 long years he wandered the moors. Until he had come upon the crumbling remains of the Devonshire house. Recently burnt, he had spent the night until he had been awakened by Haense soldiers. Little had he known that he had even lived in Haense. With the remains of a manor, no family or money, Clement realizes his dilemma is not a good one.
