Brutus was born an only child to a Highlander mother and Heartlander father of low societal ranking in the city of Helena. However, he was raised by his uncle after his father’s death in combat when Brutus was only four years old. His mother was outcasted by Heartlander society due to her not being a member of the Church of the Canon. His uncle was higher up in Heartlander society hierarchy than Brutus’s biological father, he made sure Brutus was well educated. In addition to schooling, Brutus’s uncle taught him about his favorite animal, the mythical sky whale, and things like stoicism and determinism. While Brutus lived by the ideals his uncle taught him, he secretly took a greater liking to the idea of hedonism. By the age of 16, Brutus was well versed in combat training though he had little real world experience. At the age of 18, he decided to embark on a quest to find his mother. While on this journey he met a man whom he fell in love with. His quest was put on hold while they explored their relationship. He is now 21 years old and considering resuming his search for his mother.
