Owen grew up on a small cottage with his parents as the only child, just outside of the city of Haense. His family lived a upper-class life. Owen’s father, Zeus, was a guard of Haense and was known as an upstanding warrior. From a young age Owen knew he was going to be a warrior too. His bloodline goes back to the day of Aegis, where his great ancestors were apart of the Teutonic Order of the Hansetians. Owen’s father respected his heritage and taught it’s core values to Owen. He taught Owen how to fight, sparring with him using a wooden sword and shield. “You’ll make a great Warrior someday, Owen!” was often exclaimed by his father Zeus. The two of them would go out hunting and Owen learned to art of using a bow and arrow; but it was never as good as his swordsmanship. One day out hunting Owen, who was often trusted to split off from his father now at the age of 14, was caught off by a wolf. He was nearly killed. To this day he has a scratch on his left eye. The scar made that side of his face seem limp and uncaring, looking like a lost soul at times. As he grew older people would often mistake Owens behavior and stern face as anger and distain. Owen tried not to, but he would often succumb to the feelings projected by those around him. Owen became a loner, as often his father was out on guard and his mother was tending to household duties and essentially ignoring his presence. Most days he would wander the streets, or go out into the woods and craft. When Owen turned 18, Zeus; who is normally caring and rarely punished Owen, kicked Owen out of the house and told him he needs to figure it out on his own. Owen obliged, but he didn’t know if he believed what his father meant. He showed back up a week later, and the house was unlocked, empty. No explanations available, Owen doesn’t know what to think about life anymore. He thinks maybe it’s because his father has some secret assignment that needs to be fulfilled by his great bloodline. Optimistic, and probably not the case, he thinks to himself sadly. To this day he has never seen his family again. From 18 onwards Owen decided focus on continuing his goal of being a warrior and now finding his family. Training in the wild lands, he built his own cabin and would craft and go hunting. Fighting creatures would slowly not be a challenge. Owen also liked to go back into town on occasion and learn at the libraries and study up on his heritage. If his father was so engulfed in it, he needed to be aswell. It must be important, he thinks. At the age of 22 he wanted to enlist in the guard to maybe learned what happened to his father. But he as the years have gone by he keeps getting denied applications. Is it because of Zeus? Owen’s a fit gentlemen, and now at the age of 25 is becoming skilled with the sword. He’s at a fork in the path in life now, does he continue trying to join the guard, find a whole new guild or new city? He’s not sure.. This is his Owen’s Lord of the Craft story ...
