Qurani was born to a pair of mercenaries, a dark elf Sylphe and a heartlander Carvin, who have migratet from Atlas to Arcas in the year of 1705.
Qurani himself was born in the year of 1716. He was taught to use the blade by his mother in her spare time, (his parents used to go on be out on the roads a lot, to make a living).
When they would be out hunting for mosters, hunting bandits, protecting properties or doing various quests he would stay by his (human) aunt Clair in Helena,
so she quickly became a parent figure in his life, more so than his actual parents.
That´s where he would make a friend called Rudy and also take interest in architecture.
Together with Rudy they used to spar with sticks, pretending to be brave warriors and also exploring the city,
running through the darker alleys or looking at the beautiful buildings, some so high they could almost touch the sky.
As the days would go by, Qurani and Rudy went on to become great friends.
Since Qurani was basically living with his aunt, his parents decided he would attend school there.
That was a good thing for Qurani since he could spend more time with Rudy that way, se he was quite happy.
Alas came the year 1724, and Quranis parents being mercenaries, doing mercenary things decided to participate in the Three-Month War
for a chance to earn some extra money,
which would cost them their lives by the hands of the dwarves.
Qurani was 8 at this point so he couldn´t quite process what that meant, and what would it mean in the future.
He also saw how it affected aunt Claire and what pain she was going through, although he didn´t quite understand it at the time.
After what happened no matter how much Claire tried to conceal it, the hint of sadness would never leave her side, and Qurani
couldn´t shake of his prejudice towards Dwarves. After all it was them who started the war and who knows what could have happened,
have his parents not died.
Alas life goes on and people are forced to move on, wheter they like it or not, otherwise they´ll get left behind as the clocks of time tick away.
Sometime passed and Qurani went to school to become an architect, where he was also taught basics of gathering resources and trade.
It was also at this time that him and Rudy went separate ways, as Rudy decided to pursue his dads profesion and keep the family business,
which is incidentally blacksmithing. They still saw each other sometimes just not nearly as regularly as before.
After a year or so Rudy gave Qurani his masterpiece as a memento,... A beautifull, ornamented,... spoon.
It even has both of their inicials written on it – Q.R. R.H.W.
Qurani still uses this spoon whenever he eats something using a spoon, he has never used other spoon since then.
Twenty or so years have passed and Rudy makes a living as a blacksmith forging blades and armours for adventurers and soldiers.
Qurani however makes a living by fixing some roof leaks, pluging up mice holes (Hearing the name Qurani Rocheret strikes fear in the hearts of mice, at least that´s what Qurani likes to believe),
helping some minor repairs and sometimes even designing a brand new chicken coop.
Also he is now taking care of the now 68 years old Clair while her health is getting worse and worse. Qurani was never a big believer in gods, but he is praying that Clair gets better.
Six years pass and Clairs health is worse than ever, she knows her time is close and Qurani knows that too,
he stops working for a while living with what he had saved up,
ocasionally taking on some request to make a bit more money, but he spends most of his time with Claire.
He has tried everything, ranging from medicine to healers, but no one could heal Claire.
Another half a year passes and Claire is on her death-bed and at last she breaths her finall breath.
Qurani is heart broken and he finally understands how Claire was feeling all those years ago when his parents died,
also he now understands what he should have felt like back then. He understands what it feels like to loose someone you loved
and he decides that if he ever gets into conflict that could lead to somebodys death he will try to find any way other than killing somebody if possible,
because ”They probably have someone waiting for them to return home".
After a while he returns to his job of fixing roofs and pluging up mice holes, but not for long because he doesnˇt want to spend the rest of his life fixing roofs
and plugging in mice holes, he wants to be a recognised architect and possibly make a builders guild, and also he can´t keep living in that old house where he grew up.
It keeps bringing up memories, happy memories which are a double edged sword, a reminder of the past and of people never coming back.
So after about Two and half a year he finally manages to sell his house says goodbye to his old friend and his family which has been there for him all this time
and sets out on a journey towards a brighter future while not forgeting the past.
