Kaz was born in the capital of Hanseti-Ruska, New Reza, and grew up as a middle class citizen. He and his brother, Dante, were raised by their parents Jason Qiulong and Eden Qiulong. He did not enjoy school much, but did fairly well in school, only getting the scores that he needed to pass. Kaz lived a boring life in the capital, but always dreamed of being able to leave one day and explore the world while making a story for himself. Kaz and his brother were told stories of the world by their father. Kaz favorited stories of war more than any other. One story he can recall is the story about “The War of the Two Emperors.” He loved the details on the skirmishes and battles. Kaz’s want to fight came from the stories that he was told by his father. The stories of war heroes during this war inspired Kaz to want to go and adventure the most. Secretly he trained himself with a stick and makeshift slingshot to try to learn the basics of combat. Now Kaz, grown up, aspires to be a hero like all the heroes that he has heard from the stories told by his father. With no combat experience and only experience of camping in the frigid cold and extreme heat, he now leaves New Reza behind and adventures off to explore the world.
