Ragnar Halfan was born in Haense, to a peasant family. His father was a poor farmer, and his mother was a housewife. When he was 9, his parents were murdered by bandits when traveling to a neighboring village. After this tragedy, he was raised by his Uncle. He taught him much, teaching him how to survive off the land, and to trust in only himself. However, he was murdered by corrupt guards when Halfdan was 12. The guards burned down his deceased uncle’s hut, along with all his material possessions. This practically left him both orphaned and homeless, and led him to never trust authority ever again. He had to hunt wild game and live in an abandoned shack to survive. He became extremely good at trapping and fishing, allowing him to eat an extraordinary diet, which allowed him to develop into a strong, young man.
When he turned 17, Halfdan decided to travel to Curon to pursue his fortune. He made a decent living selling furs of game to merchants, but he soon found that it is hard to make ends meet with such work in a large city. Here, he also picked up the new hobby of brawling, and has shown himself to be a worthy opponent, though not a champion fighter yet. He desperately needs money to get by, and is willing to take any work. Currently, he is hoping that his natural prowess will allow him to get a position in an armed company, and more importantly, the training he needs to survive the perils of the world.
