Aprelle was born to a merchant and jeweler couple, named Dafydd and Morana respectively. Her parents were questioned at length about her conception due to her hair colour, but she was found to be pure. Both her parents had subtle orange tinges to their blonde hair. The true odd one out was her sister who sported a golden mane. Aprelle barely knew, and remembers little of her mother as she was lost during the journey to Axios. Bullied for not only appearing different but acting differently to her peers, Aprelle grew up being expected to act proper, but hated it and rebelled in many ways. From simply not paying attention to doing her own thing. She snuck out at night and broke into other houses for, at first, just the thrill. Eventually she started bringing back small trophies. Her father allowed her martial training in the hope she would settle down. Instead it only inspired her more to break free from his control. Aprelle’s childhood ended not with happiness, but instead with her father trying to marry her off for financial gain. She loved tales of adventure and this inspired her to run away after the betrothal. Soon she met her first love, Aeric Iseld, and spent time hiding from her would be husband and father with Aeric and his family. They afforded her the chance to be independant and grow as a woman. They also offered a chance to hone some of her skills. Aeric also introduced her to politics, which she hated but tried to stay awake long enough to understand to know who was who. He also convinced her of the importance of reading laws and how to use them to her advantage. It was also during this time that she discovered she could only see short distances. Aeric was the only other person to know at the time, and promised to keep her secret. Aprelle otherwise kept the weakness to herself for fear of further alienation by her people. Life with the Iseld family didn’t last long. Internal disagreements within the Iseld family boiled over and led to some fatal outcomes. Aprelle left Aeric and was promptly blamed for the death. She was later acquitted. Aprelle spent some more time on the run joining various adventuring groups for hire and doing what she did best, while no one was looking. she eventually found herself in the company of another elf, her second love, Leon. Witty, philosophical and very loyal and caring, he soon won her heart. Things became complicated as she learned of his family name: Iseld. A few years passed of her trying to run from Leon and her feelings, but Leon inevitably found her each time she ran. He eventually proved to her why their relationship was worth trying, and they married a few but long and eventful years later. The two settled for a time with their friends after moving to Atlas, living peacefully while they tried for their first child. Within a few years of Leon’s philosophical interests rubbing off on Aprelle the pair finally had some success. A baby girl was born to them whom they named Anastasia. The girl had her mother’s copper hair, but her father’s deep blue eyes. She grew up rebellious like her mother, argumentative like her father and stubborn like both of them. With the journey to Arcas Aprelle fell pregnant again. The timing wasn’t great, but as Anastasia was now in her 50s, they at least had more help as they arrived and settled in Lareh'thilln. As they awaited the birth they happened upon their cousin, Edelgard, and her husband, Conrad. They had a homestead not far from Aprelle and the two families soon became close. The labour of Aprelle’s second was slow, but uneventful. Alric Iseld was born to much celebration. He was adorned with his father’s blonde hair and his mother’s eyes. Leon, Edelgard and Conrad soon joined the military, and were gone often on drills or patrols. Edelgard took some time off when she fell pregnant with her first, Avarill, but stayed home only long to wean the child. From then Aprelle was often left to care for the two children with the help of her eldest. She hated not being with Leon, but the children needed her. She feared the day Leon wouldn’t return. During the War of Two Emperors Aprelle’s fears came true. The family was enjoying dinner when a messenger came by to deliver the news. Neither Leon, nor Avarill’s parents would be returning. The family struggled through many years of depression until finally, with Avarill coming of age, they decided to leave their home in Lareh'thilln and travel elsewhere. Maybe the ghosts of the past wouldn’t follow them.
