Being the youngest child of the Floreurunt family; a long line of scriveners, illuminators, and calligraphers; Steluer resigned himself, at an early age, that little was expected of him and pursued his own interests accordingly. No doubt his father would see him join the clergy or attempt to marry himself out of mundanity. His only true passion came when he spent clear nights gazing at the heavens and imagining the cosmic realms beyond the earthen plots of the Mortal Plane. Much to his dismay, Steluer could find few publications that elaborated on his celestial curiosities. So, as his childhood trudged on and his many siblings spent their waking hours practicing fundamental strokes and flourishes, Steluer would merely gaze out the windows of their modest Helenian shop house and count the stars (at least when they could be seen through the street lights of the Imperial city). Nevertheless, adulthood reared its imminent head to the young astrophile and with no intentions of joining the clergy or marrying he continued working for his family as a calligrapher. Occasional forays of business granted Steluer brief trips to various libraries across the Empire where he managed to glimpse knowledge of Aenguls, Daemons, and realms beyond mortal comprehension. Such insights made gazing into the heavens all the more alluring. What were the stars composed of? What made up the great blackness between them? And what lay beyond? Steluer Floreurunt may continue to be not more than a humble calligrapher but he must see these esoteric questions answered.
