Jormund was born on the side of the road near Haense, his parents were merchants who would travel from city to city. Jormund’s odd name comes from his uncle, whom his parents greatly loved, sadly his uncle died before he was born, for some reason his parents would never say what race his uncle was, so Jormund just thinks he was a dark elf, but he is quite wrong. When Jormund came of age his father taught him to wield a sword, Jormund put those skills to use by guarding their wagon, since they couldn’t pay for guards. Jormund never really got an education but his mother taught him as much about reading and writing as possible, Jormund always spent spare money on books when he could, he also had a strange affiliation with magic, he had always wanted to learn it but his family were to poor to learn for him to learn magic. Jormund learnt many skills growing up such as the art of persuasion, occasionally having to deal with customers Jormund got pretty good at trading. Jormund put his skills to the test when a mage attacked their caravan they had an arcane familiar, ( he didn’t know what it was at the time) he and his father grabbed their swords in defense to tr and take out the creature, they managed to but his father was scarred after the fight and the mage ran away in frustration as their familiar was destroyed. A new phase of Jormund’s life began when his family was caught in the middle of an attack during the Vaeyl wars, sadly both of his parents were killed during the fight, and Jormund barely made it with his neck, after the fight Jormund went to check the caravan and found the bodies of his parents sprawled across the road, It was from this point on he was determined to end as many vaeyl soldiers as possible, because he found a dead soldier that was carrying a letter to kill anyone that come through the road they were travelling on.
