Giltbert was born in Helena. His Parents were extremely poor and they had a child because they thought “In a few years, we’ll have another stable source of income.” They quickly realized having a child meant they had less money to go between them. Giltbert’s parents were surviving on scraps of meat and bread plus whatever they could get their hands on and now with Giltbert they had even less. Giltbert grew up as a follower of the church of canon, but as he reflected on his life situations around his teen years, he thought “If god is responsible for my life, why doesn’t he make things better for us?” After this he became an athiest and was cast out by most of his friends and family. He got a job moving crates inside the city, and managed to increase his family’s income, even if only by a little bit. When Giltbert was 15, his father died from an infection that came from a scratch on his wrist. Giltbert didn’t attend his father’s funeral because to him it was another layer of disrespect god had dished to him. He continued working his crate moving job until he turned 18 and left Helena to pursue a career in stone carving. Giltbert now wanders paths looking for stones he can use for carving. On his journeys Giltbert heard about a city called “Sutica” and it is now his current destination. He can now be found traveling to Sutica.
