  1. Silence filled the cold chill of the room of a familiar tower that the specter found himself in. Having used his last few moments to interact with caporal objects to mount an aurum arrow upon a stand before his armor fell through his form, unable to be reworn. "There goes the final link. The synod is finally behind me. only a few things to do remain." The ghastly figure spoke out in silence. He stared down upon his ethereal body, feeling his mind still ever so slowly slipping away. He couldn't remember how old he was, in life or in undeath. All his thoughts could recall were hunts, and the one elf who he viewed as a sibling. Mouth unmoving he spoke a brief few words to himself, accepting what was to come next Talion extended his arm out towards the nearby quill and ink, ectoplasmic goop breaking off in chunks to grasp and start writing his final letter in a script harsh on the eyes and unable for normal man to read, those who tried finding themselves feeling like they have stared into the sun itself for just a bit too long. (blackspeech script) "Valindra. By the time you see this I will no longer remain as I am. I learned rumors about being able to trap a slain ghost inside a weapon, and I seek my end. My rock has been unbound of my own will, and I write to you just before I do this act. I pray this will work, and give you a final farewell gift in this action. I wish I could give you my azhl to fashion into a new dagger, but I am unable. I do apologize I can no longer remain by your side, and wish you luck in your endeavors of the path you sought to go down. if this is successful my exoplasm shall be trapped inside the aurum arrow you see on the stand. If you do finally get your way and become a Shepard, see to it that I am pulled free from the arrow and bound to you so I can resume my hunt by your side. Many things have probably occurred since we last spoke, and I wish I could hear all about them. However my mind is slipping away more and more with each day. I can only remember you and the hunt as well as how to write. Everything else is fickle and hard to grasp like water in a fishing net. May this be my final keepsake as a hunter and as Korkul. Let puddle know I will no longer be a problem Yours truly, your Ethereal Raven." Talion, known in death as Korkul the Hermit took one last mimicked sigh before throwing his ghastly blue form upon the arrow. An echoed scream soon rang out through Lurin's streets from Valindra's tower as Hermit was killed in a way they wished, calm washed over him in those final moments, the little bit of ectoplasm and soul that remained now bound forever in the aurum dagger until one versed in the arts of its manipulation could pull it free and bind it to something or someone else.
  2. hell yea, gimme funni daemonsteel things
  3. “. . . I am no expert.” stated a construct with a lot of spare time on it's gaunlets
  4. Alviss paused upon reading such "I understand allowing them in but allowing magic to be cast an xionism to be worshipped? Feels loike ah wee bit too much." the dark dwarf mumbled, wondering where Dal was to ask for why such was written
  5. Ah, Thats fair. But still, doubt ST would accept this rewrite sadly without a decent nerf to enchants if i had to guess. Ill have to think on that however, see what i could do instead of a non passive recharge redline as a nerf. Thanks for the feedback
  6. Reasoning/intent: with current wording it prevents basically all constructs to use enchantments due to the fact most dont have the inner mana that is spoken of in the Enchanters sickness “Enchantment sickness affects those who utilize enchantments due to their mechanism of sapping a user's own mana upon activation. Effectively, a "jumpstart" to letting the mana gems of the enchantment pull and restrain the voidal energies from beyond, when activating an enchantment a user (if not already a voidal mage) would suffer under Enchantment Sickness.” This highlighted area if not the entire enchantment sickness would be removed entirely, and if unable to be rewritten at least reworked allowing constructs to once again use enchantments but with some weaknesses depending on the construct. Advised rewrite: remove the entirety of the enchanters sickness, and replace it with an extra emote to have non voidal mages and entities [Atronachs and horrors are included in voidal entities.] focus upon the item, then connect to it, then the X amount of emotes for the spells. This way if both people start doing the same spell yet one is using an enchantment and not a voidal mage, the actual mage will always win out by one emote, compared to the non voidal person using the enchant. In exchange for the lack of physical weakness Enchantments cannot be idly recharged after each encounter. Each Enchanted item would have a set amount of mana, already stated in lore by enchants having a set amount of times the spell can be cast per encounter, stated in transfiguration lore. You would follow charge amounts under Transfiguration lore, enchantments. T1 grand enchants have 5 enchants, so on and so forth. If an item is not used it still would passively loose mana and require it to be recharged every OOC week, same would apply if one reached the max number of uses on the enchantment. This would be done either at an obelisk or have a mage with transfiguration. Summary: Remove the weakness part and replace it with a non passive recharge as well make it longer to cast for non mages. If this gets accepted I will do a post with proper formatting and clarification on the affects and redlines to be added to the main voidal connection forum post.
  7. love the idea of making religious RP more impactful but i agree with others in it shouldn't be made a mechanical part of the server.
  8. Im in agreeance with the fact that its formatted well but generally lacks explanation and clarification for anything. Would also agree with Rdowdy in the fact this would be something very interesting to add onto the artificer feat instead of making it its own. Other then that its a great concept. Love the general idea but the execution is somewhat lacking
  9. "I'm proud of you. You are different then the shy little dwed on the walls of Balain, still tainted by the filth of the void. Now a Shaman. I will watch you from Stargush'Stroh" Alviss still recalled those words that the now fallen Rex had stated atop the trebuchet tower, the duo overlooking the water north of the city only half a stone hour before the siege as the dwed laughed about how he might very well be there before Borok. As the battle raged on he heard the call of the now fallen warrior and it all clicked, Borok knew his fate was sealed, it was why they spoke how they did. Now, amidst the magma of the nearby volcanos Alviss poured out a drink in goodbye
  10. “Ah... Her... I pitty the woman, the wastes are a horrid place to end up in. Hopefully your right in where they ended up” Spoke an ethereal voice that was zoned out in a dark tavern for the longest time. The news spilling free as he saw his Pale friends sad expression. “Impressive mage from the little I saw. May she have a proper rest anywhere but the wastes. From what you say of them. They deserve it.”
  11. a wild dark dwarf grumbled, knowing that there must be others who were doing it and Ailise was blamed on some of those assault charges
  12. A certain dwarf grumbled as he had to clean up the library
  13. Based, but nah I just saw that and my mind found it funny. Doubt st would force aesthetics
  14. i.e. one cannot have an octopus-head with crab-like claws on their hand. lmao, man doesn't want people becoming davy jones on the server. other then that this is fuckin sick lore my guy
  15. In the depths of a mountain, where magma boiled. A Dwarf was guided through the realm to where he met a massive Ram of molten magma, who's very steps scorched the ground. Screams emerged from the mountains' depths as the dwarf's very soul was burned and altered to the whim of his new pact with Daakyazif, spirit of magma under Dwarven mountains. He had many things to set forth to do in their name. A shrine was built right under the noses of some so he could work freely without worry.
  16. “It flew without it's heads, I watched it turn as we sailed off. I don't like that one bit” Exclaimed a dwarven scholar from a clinic. Mists of a shamans blessing healing his wounds as he spoke of the fight, quite happy he managed to get a cannon off at yet another massive beast even if he did not cause it to fall
  17. this is indeed a glorious moment
  18. “Shame I won’t be able to get knowledge from it. A dragon that speaks common is rare” A sleepy dark dwarf mumbled as he stared at his own sketch of the massive eye before falling asleep at his desk
  19. The dwarf, who had stolen the dropped staff in a moment of greed watched the execution, handing it off to Luthriel as he realised they were better off having it compared to him, as it was provably the only thing that was now around to remind them of their fallen friend
  20. The lone visitor from the time Elias in serheim who found an odd comfort in the aging paladin, remaining in their cell for a good chunk of the captured’s time they paused at the news of the passing. The aging specters' memory failing him for a while as he tries to recall the oddly familiar name. Time passed in the dark tavern they sat in before he finally gave up. the name Glordhel being the name of the man who passed but Hermit still longed to met Elias again on better terms, and not with one bound In chains as the other sat in the cell, but he somehow felt that that day would never come. The one paladin that the ghost would speak to as people, and not as someone who would hunt him on sight was now gone to join Xan in their afterlife.
  21. “… religion” grumbled a confused dark dwarf
  22. [!] a random dwarf scholar stared at the missive, pondering on if he should write about the siege and his experience in it and claim that mina.
