Fennick’s mother Jane and father Sefro were both highlanders who later turned to more nomadic ways, often finding themselves in trouble while on the road whether it be an aggressive creature or not so friendly strangers. Fennick was born while on the road near the Cold city of snow elves Fenn, the snow elves took Jane and Sefro in and helped deliver the child who was the named Fennick in honor of the people of Fenn who so quickly offered there hospitality to the 2 new parents. once Fennick had reached the age of 5 he and his family went on the move once again towards the towering orc city of krugmar.
About half way through their journey the family of three stopped by the city of the dark elves called Renelia to rest and restock their supplies. While at Renelia Fennick made many friends but his closest friend was a dark elf named Leo. Leo introduced Fennick to many Dark elf traditions, foods, and music, he also gave Fennick the nickname Fen. Leo would often share the things he learned at school with Fen, as Fen did not get much education while on the road. On his last day in Renelia Leo brought Fen to a small tavern in which they listened to the music that sparked a great love of music in Fennick. Soon after their departure from Renelia Fen and his family ran across a horrifying scene. there was a carriage covered in blood and the horses missing and a man lying besides it in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds. As Jane covered Fennicks eyes Fen’s father Sefro checked the carriage bed only to find a woman lying dead with a little Adunian girl sobbing by her body. after a long while Fennicks father was able to calm the little girl and the small family took her on their way to krugmar in fear of what would happen if they left her alone. the little girls name was Chloe and she would never explain what happened to her family but she quickly became great friends with Fen and stayed with him and his family for many years after. When the family arrived at Krugmar Fens parents decided it was time to settle down most likely in fear of having the same fate as Chloe’s family.
After 2 years the now family of 4 had enrolled Fen and Chloe in school however after school Fen would often get himself into trouble as he got caught many times sneaking into arena fights and restricted areas. When Fen was not getting into trouble he would spend his time with Chloe or venturing out into the arid hills around Krugmar in an effort to escape the crowds of the city. In one particular adventure Fen was at the age of 16 and fell in a deep trench and in his mind all hope was lost and he began to yell for help. But as the hours passed and nightfall came Fen gave up and fell asleep, when he woke up he came face to face with a large Caecus lizard, Startled at first he screamed but after being stuck in a hole for 3 hours he realized would not harm him and would in fact show him the way out of his predicament through a small tunnel. Forever grateful for the lizards help Fen slowly became friends with the lizard and would leave food for it outside the exiting tunnel. He would do this every day until the Lizard disappeared when Fen was 20, but it gave Fen a great love for reptiles before its disappearance. Over the next few years Chloe moved away and Fen decided he would rekindle his nomadic roots at the age of 23.
