Lathai was born in Haelun'or to one mother, a father and a younger brother. While Lathai was growing up he was taught how to write and later higher levels of literacy as well how to draw and appreciate art. Though being born to a militant family, his father served in the military and so his father's militant attitude convinced him to also pursue a career within the aforementioned military as well. After serving the military briefly, he retired when he had built an interest for medicine and thus wished to pursue a career that involved medicine. Despite the family's militant background, his father was fortunately accepting of Lathai's inspirations and later transferred to aegrothond to complete his medical career. Thus after successfully becoming a doctor and receiving his license, he returned back to Haelun'or to continue with it's customs. Though throughout Lathai's studies, he developed an ill-advised attitude towards the canonist faith while doing research as he studied abroad. When he returned back to Haelun'or he continued his studies of literacy and art, and gained a more complex view on them, which kick-started his writers career as he started writing fiction. Which eventually had him pick up a job at the library to teach other children about literacy and also art. Now he seeks to teach others about medicine and the works of literacy to spread it's knowledge and it's complex albeit unique History it contains.
