Avric was born into a relatively poor family. His mom and dad both being Cave Dwarves from Kal'Varoth, Urguan. His family worked hard every day in the coal minds to make ends meet. Sadly, it just wasn’t enough and his parents decided he was the only thing left of value they could sell. So at only the age of 11 Avric was sold into slavery. Having little education but fairly strong he worked for a few masters. His first master Lorvak was brutal constantly whipping him for entertainment and having him doing many meaningless chores. His second master Pavord, would starve him and only feed him when it was absolutely necessary. His only justification was that if Avric worked harder he might just feed him more often. This went on for many years master after master the next one always being more cruel then the last, till he met Jebediah. Unline his old masters Jebediah was a lot older. A frail looking man but scary nonetheless. However, unlike his other masters Jebediah was kind. He was a gentle man who was merely looking for company as his wife had passed and left him very lonely. Avric spent many years looking after Jebediah. This man even took the time to teach Avric to read and write. The old man practically treated him as a son. By the time Avric was 21 the old man started to seem more sickly than before. Avric grew sad as this man was the only one he had ever let into his heart. He grew to be a father to him. With his dying breath the old man told Avric, “never let yourself be sold off again for you are your own person. You will be great one day and never have to live a poor life again. Stay strong.” Avric vowed that day he would make the old man proud, gain wealth and power, and show everyone that he is more than just a mere slave. WIth that he left the only place he has ever called home he set off to Haense skipping Oren as it is full of humans he’d rather not deal with.
