Rordel was born into a goblin clan, but before he was old enough to even form memories he was abandoned by the clan with no memory of who his parents were or what clan he was from. Rordel wandered in the area surrounding the Cloud Temple for the first few years of his life getting assistance from the Wilven Sanctuary Monks who taught him peaceful values and pacifism, but Rordel was still very cynical due to his abandonment at such a young age leaving him skeptical of all who offered him help. At the age of 4 Rordel left the Air Temple seeking to discover who he wanted to be. Rordel having matured quickly as an orc was able to hunt animals and gather edible vegetation throughout his travels. He did not trust the help of travelers he encountered and was very skeptical of anyone trying to selflessly help him. Rordel wandered the realm of Arcas for 5 years searching for a purpose and a place to call home. After wandering Arcas for the last 5 years Rordel found himself on the Arcasian Mesa. While roaming the mesa he encountered Clan Gurmazg who offered to take him in. Rordel exhausted by his journeys let down his guard and decided to spend the night with Clan Gurmazg. He awoke the next morning to witness them teaching shamanism and became entranced by the practice. Although the thought of learning shamanism enchanted Rordel he still had much maturing to do before he would be ready learn. Rordel stay with the clan for 10 years learning about spirits and orc culture. Throughout his time with the orc clan he drifted away from the pacifist beliefs that the Wilven Sanctuary Monks had taught him and while still being a peaceful soul realized that violence was necessary in some situations. Rordel having learned about orc culture and with the combination of monk and orc values he had developed into his own self. While no longer a pacifist as taught by the monks he still realized the power of peace and saw violence as a last resort and not as a one size fits all solution. Rordel was still a very cynical person but through the Gurmazg Clan he learned that giving people a chance is not always the worst idea. Rordel having developed so much personally decided he needed to see more of Arcas before he would settle down and learn Shamanism with the Gurmazg Clan because he still had other opportunities he hadn’t explored.
